MetLife | Pet Insurance Review

I’m really impressed with Met Life Their customer service is extremely helpful Fairly easy to file a claim but a little slow in processing it Over all I will continue insuring my baby with Met Life

I think this is a scam. My health insurance is easier to use, and faster. I just got the dog and just bought the insurance. Turned in all the paper-work, less soap note for the last year. The receipt showed all the things done. Remember I only had the dog for 3 weeks and was to be a check-up but found she was sick. Of course I cancelled her policy immediately, I was to paid a lot of money for nothing.

I adopted my Meow in March from a private party who said she was in great shape other than needing one updated shot. I immediately set her up with a veterinary clinic and purchased a Met Life insurance policy. After giving her a few weeks to adjust to her new home I took her in for a complete examination and was told she was healthy but needed her teeth cleaned and a couple extractions. When they sedated her for the teeth cleaning and extractions they discovered she had resorptive dental lesions throughout her mouth, a very painful condition, and would need to have a full mouth tooth extraction which must be done by a dental specialist. Now that she is no longer in pain she acts like a kitten even though she is 6 years old. The total for everything came to over $6,000 dollars and Met Life covered 80% after the small deductible. The claim was handled promptly and the Met Life employees were courteous and very helpful. I’m so thankful l have Met Life coverage for my Meow.

My furbaby is only 2 years old with no pre-existing conditions. He hasn't had multiple problems so I haven't had to submit many claims, but, for the most part I've had no issues getting reimbursed and the turnaround time was decent.

**Total Scam!** This insurance company will take your money and then come up with excuses to avoid paying out. They claim there's a 'waiting period' which was never mentioned anywhere. They also deny claims based on 'pre-existing conditions,' a conclusion they seem to make just to get out of paying. Now, I'm stuck paying 11,000 AED out of my own pocket! Never, ever go with this company! Don't let big corporations steal your money. If you want more info, feel free to contact me.
