I took out a ManyPets policy in December made a wellness claim a few weeks later and they paid the claim in two weeks. The only complaint I have about their insurance is that they won't pay any vets directly and if you can't afford the bill they don't care as long as you pay it first and let them reimburse you. So, if you can't afford to pay your vet bill I would try to work with the vet in helping you getting your claim submitted with a paid invoice as that is required before ManyPets will pay on a claim.
I spent hours searching and comparing different pet insurance companies, and I’m extremely happy I went with this one. Their rates are unbeatable compared to competitors. They have given me no hassle when it’s come to sending in my dog’s claims (Just make sure you have your pet’s previous health records. They don’t cover known health problems.)
If you do not have your pet’s previous health records, I’m unsure of how getting reimbursed for your vet bills works. Before getting this insurance, make sure you either have all your vet records (which you can easily get from your vet) OR make sure you talk to an agent of ManyPets over the phone before getting this insurance.
Since getting ManyPets health insurance for my dog, my dog has unfortunately had several eye procedures and ear infections (not issues prior). ManyPets was very helpful and timely in response to my claims, and timely in sending the insurance reimbursement. This was something I was concerned of, as this is my 1st time having pet insurance. I was worried that it would be a hassle to submit a claim, however, ManyPets has been extremely helpful and timely.
My only advice is read the contract and fine print! Make sure you understand what the insurance covers (vet clinic visits for sickness or injury) and what it often times doesn't cover (dependent on the plan, vaccines)
If you live in a state that ManyPets works with, then trust me, just go with them. For reference, I have the 250$ deductible, 0% down, unlimited plan
