Losing a pet is horrible - but fighting with your insurance company is a mess. We lost our 11 year old baby girl and Many Pets was quick to approve and pay all claims immediately. We have added our 2 younger dogs to the policy since.
They seemed to make excuses everytime I filed by saying Dog will have dog issues which aren't covered. These issues were treatments not "routine checkup." Do your research before making a bad choice with manypets.
I've got 3 dogs with medical and wellness coverage through Many Pets. I've can't recommend them enough. The medical plan is an 80% reimbursement after the deductible is met, which is the best I found at the time I signed up. I haven't checked recently. Claims are submitted online, and you have the choice to use direct deposit or a mailed check for your return.
Filing a claim online is extremely easy. They are handled quickly, and direct deposits have been made within 24 hours of approval. Communication has been excellent. ManyPets has been very good about approving claims, and the few that were not, a customer service e-mailed a good explanation. I've never thought the denied claims were unfair.
As far as price goes, I think it is great. I've almost hit 1 year for the plans on the first 2 dogs. The wellness plan has completely paid for itself with both dogs, as well as saved me money past that point. The medical plan completely saved us when one of our dogs had a mystery illness, requiring several er trips and a lot of expensive tests. It has been such a relief to not have to take the cost of treatment into consideration when it comes to his health.
The only issue I would want to let someone know about beforehand is that the details of the claims are not online after you have filed them. So, you can go on and see invoice date, if it is in review, and if it has been approved. If you have more than one claim that day, there is no way to distinguish them, and you can not see any other details, such as refund amount on their website. However, they send emails with that info, so it is a very rare circumstance where this is an inconvenience. And, in that rare circumstance, very friendly reps (that sound American, if that is important to you) are ready to help you out over the phone.
