Lemonade | Pet Insurance Review

Dee handled my first case for for my 6 months old baby girl “Luna” an adopted shorty hair domestic cat. After my claim was filed, Dee dropped me a personal email to introduce herself and let me know she will be handling everything and will follow up with me if anything else is needed. She even ask me about Luna “my pet” and I shared pictures with her via email. She did not even come across as a claim specialist, her responses and replies I would describe as if she was a family member. I trust felt like I was part of a family and she genuinely cared. I’m assuming lemonade uses people who are pet friendly or have pets themselves, because not many people speak so kindly about pets or get too excited. But Dee definitely stood out and I hope she can help me with my future claims. Very happy with my overall experience. My claim was approved within 4 days and my payment was in my account on the 6 day. Very impressed I made the choice to go with these guys instead of CareCredit insurance.

Our pup was really sick, and we weren't sure if she had ingested something foreign. She was x-rayed multiple times, and had to stay overnight at the animal ER, and she is a very anxious pup in the first place! Our bill came out to almost $2000 for 24 hours of inpatient care that included IV fluids, medications repeat blood work, and repeat x-rays. Being that this was our first claim, I wasn't sure what to do, but I had two representatives guide me along the way and they made the process easy! They even shower genuine concern for Ruby's condition. Lemonade quickly reimbursed us a little over $1300 (had to pay the deductible!) Which was SUCH a relief. Ruby is back to her normal, wild, playful self if you're curious! 😊 Thanks Julie for helping us!
