Great coverage quick reimbursement

I opted for the illness/accident version of Lemonade pet insurance which is kind of like dog catastrophic health insurance. Our black lab Bullet developed melanoma which required some expensive diagnostic tests and procedures. After the initial $250 deductible, Lemonade has paid 80% of the claims. They also have plans that cover more stuff like immunizations but we opted for the accident/ illness plan and are very pleased with the ease of filing a claim using their app, the timeliness in preparing the claim, and the rapid reimbursement. I would highly recommend Lemonade pet insurance

Great customer service!

I am a first time pet owner, worried about how I would pay for my pet’s expenses. I am also a new homeowner so I needed to find an insurance company that I aligned with. What I love about Lemonade is that they are super helpful and responsive to my questions, they also donate a portion of our payments to a charity of our choice. Their customer service representatives are extremely helpful and super nice. I also love that every time I have a question, they email me. I get anxiety from phone calls a lot so the fact that they can get all of my questions answered just by email has been super beneficial to me and less stress free on my part.

Amazing pet insurance!!!

Lemonade truly cares about their client’s pets! They make all the claims easy to do & are very reasonably priced for pet lovers! All their customer service reps are the sweetest & handle claims extremely fast! 10/10 recommend

Lemonade is what insurance companies should be

My dog got horribly sick out of the blue, and needed to spend a full day at the vet getting tests, receiving fluids, and then came home with a number of prescriptions and a massive bill. I put in a claim to Lemonade as got an email from a human being within 24 hours who I could send questions to if I had any, and was reimbursed in less than 3 days. This is what an insurance company should be - you pay them your premium, and when it comes to it, they help you. They don't make it hard, they don't make you wait, they don't try to get out of it, they just help you protect your pet. I recommend Lemonade to anyone and everyone.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at $10/Month

Coverage

Accident and Illness coverage, with optional wellness package at reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.

Payout Limits

Lemonade Pet Insurance benefits cap off between $5,000 and $100,000, depending on how users set up their policy.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll. Lemonade does not terminate coverage for pets as they age.

Waiting Period

All Lemonade pet policies have a series of waiting periods: -2 days for accidents -14 days for illnesses -6 months for cruciate ligament events There is no waiting period for preventative coverage.

Exclusions

Exclusions follow the market standard, so they don’t cover pre-existing conditions; bilateral conditions, dental illness, microchipping; anal gland expression; spaying and neutering; something that happens because of breeding or pregnancy; prescription food; vitamins; and supplements; experimental treatments, or recurring conditions. They will be expanding some of these coverages soon.
