Reliable and easy

Healthy Paws came through at the start of a holiday week when my 4 year old corgi needed emergency surgery for a small bowel obstruction. They quickly approved and paid the claim for the original Emergency Vet and transfer to the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine for the surgery and 4 day stay in the ICU after he developed aspiration pneumonia. The overall bill was $12,286.97. Healthy Paws checked on my dog after the surgery and have been great. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Easy, fast and reliable

They have been timely, easy to use, and transparent. They've reimbursed everything their policy states they will. I've been very happy with them.

I am so grateful to have found this…

I am so grateful to have found this insurance for our dog. Over the past six years, we have filed numerous claims for a bowel obstruction surgery and years of treating epilepsy. I am pretty sure we would not be able to afford the care our dog deserves without this service. I follow instructions with itemized receipts and our claims are processed quickly. They have even reached out to see how are dog is doing.

Feeling grateful for having Healthy…

Feeling grateful for having Healthy Paws Pet Insurance! Less than 24 hours after picking up my one year old pup from five days of boarding, he started showing symptoms of kennel cough. I tried calling the boarding facility (on a Saturday while they were still open) and no one answered or returned my call, as requested. By Sunday the symptoms were terrible and I needed to bring Peanut to the Emergency Vet Clinic. This is something I had tried to avoid by contacting the boarding facility on a Saturday (while my vet was seeing patients). After a battery of tests and X-rays it was determined that my pup had contracted kennel cough (and YES he had the Bordetella vaccine recently). Knowing I had Healthy Paws pet insurance made the decision to go to the emergency vet so much easier. After a night with little rest, I didn't want to wait another day to go to my regular vet. Sunday evening, I received antibiotics and cough suppressant for Peanut and he started feeling better within a day or two. Submitting my claim and requesting reimbursement was fast and simple. All on my phone through the Healthy Paws App. I appreciated the follow up message from Healthy Paws inquiring how my pup was doing after receiving treatment. One note: Do read the fine print of your policy so you understand which costs are covered and which ones are not. Receiving 80% of the cost of this visit (minus the exam fee) is a tremendous help - especially for an emergency visit. I highly recommend getting a Healthy Paws pet insurance policy for your furry loved one!

Highly Recommend - 9 years and counting

I've had this insurance for 9 years - with one of my dogs needing multiple expensive surgeries. HP has never questioned a claim or tried to deny a claim that should be paid. Reimbursement is typically within days. Although rates go up as the pets age, they've never hiked up rates because of the number of claims I've submitted. Highly recommend
