Don’t be fooled. Company generates its own reviews.
Don’t be fooled. This company generates fake reviews to increase its rating on Trust Pilot. Most of the reviewers are single reviews and are highly generic sounding.
I am a customer about leave Healthy Paws. After you make a certain amount of claims or your dog ages, they increase the premium. Over a few years, my dog’s premium increase five fold, until it became impractical and unaffordable.
Please do your research and find a pet insurance suitable for your situation after reading the actual coverage rather than selecting an insurance based on “reviews” like I did.
Not A Good Insurance Company As Many Reviews Claim
Do not believe all the great/fake reviews, this is not really a good pet insurance company. Please go do your research and find another reasonable company or just start a savings account for your pet. The company spiked the monthly premiums (almost 2x) and still has so many exclusions to their top tier policy.
Terrible. They would not reimburse me for any claims I put in and also over charged me 2 months in a row and would not reimburse me. Go with Fetch pet insurance. Much better!
When I first got my cat, Darby, he was two and a half years old - after a deep dive on the internet, I decided to register him with Healthy Paws. On the off chance that Darby ever needed medical attention, it seemed like the best option for insurance. Almost four years later, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. One day, Darby started collapsing and having what I believe at the time to be seizures; after meeting with a neurologist, it was discovered that Darby was experiencing syncopal episodes. Darby has several heart issues that his cardiology team has dealt with excellently. A team I would never have been able to afford or seek treatment with without Healthy Paws.
While he would occasionally experience episodes associated with bradyarrhythmias and ventricular tachycardia, Darby has been very fortunate. He had a Pacemaker placed and has been weaned off theophylline. The pacemaker surgery alone would have been nearly 10k without the help of Healthy Paws. Every month, Darby still requires medicine, which is about 70$ - which is covered by healthy paws. Also, for every check-up appointment, we have rangers from $700 - 14000 dollars. When Darby first started seeing his cardiologist, I was in college, and once again, the only reason he could receive this car was because of Healthy Paws. They get back with my 80% reimbursement easily within 24 hours of each appointment, and they have one of the most user-friendly claim filing systems I’ve ever encountered.
Healthy Paws made it possible to get my dog the care she needed without having to think twice, and they even followed up after our emergency to see how she was recovering. They care about pets and customers and filing a claim is very clear and easy. We highly recommend!
