Is good the Insurance but too Pricie

So, my dog has been insured for almost 11 years now and at the beginning I paid $34, now I have to pay $216, it's terrible, I pay more for my dog than for myself. I have the 80/20 plan.

Excellent Product for a Pup with Chronic Illness

We signed our Goldendoodle, Emerson, up for Healthy Paws Insurance when we brought him home as a puppy four years ago, and we are beyond happy that we did. When he was about 2.5 years old, Emerson suffered severe acute gastrointestinal distress and was subsequently diagnosed with irritable bowel disease (IBD). This has resulted in multiple hospitalizations as well as expensive diagnostic procedures, which have collectively cost in excess of $20K. The Healthy Paws team has stood by Emerson the entire time, covering virtually all expenses (aside from our deductible). This has allowed us to give our boy the care and love he needs without any worry about the financial consequences of his illness. Moreover, all claims (including very large ones) have been processed in a matter of days. We're very grateful for the team at Healthy Paws and cannot recommend them enough!

Very impressed with Healthy Paws

I was very skeptical of purchasing health insurance for our dogs because I thought the reimbursement process would be difficult, and I assumed many charges would not be covered. However, after my previous dog suffered a long and very serious illness which required very costly veterinary specialty care, I decided to enroll my current dog with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance as a precaution. We were lucky that we didn’t need to make any claims for several years but just recently had to make a claim when my dog tore her cruciate ligament and required surgery. After submitting my claim, I expected I would need to provide additional support documentation and the review cycle would be lengthy. I am thrilled to say that the review was completed in about a day! The next day, I was reimbursed the full amount covered by my policy – no questions asked!!! Not only is their claim process quick and easy, but I was even more impressed when I received an email a few days later asking how our Cassadi was feeling! I have been very pleased with Healthy Paws and would highly recommend their pet insurance.

I have been a long time customer

I have been a long time customer. Initially the fee seemed reasonable, the service was quick. However as the years progressed, the premium started to quickly increase. I noticed as the pets reached senior age, the annual premiums were increasing around 50% each year. Now I am stuck because I cannot find another provider to cover them and their now preexisting conditions. I was warned about them from another insurance company that when the pets get older they start charging high premiums. I believe this model shows they do not care about the pets, just making money and realizing that this is a good model due to once a pet reaches a certain age, they probably had a few issues. They are a DISGRACE and would never recommend to anyone. Read their policy carefully and ask plenty of questions before you commit to them. I do not accept this response for a few reasons. 1 I wanted to test that theory so inquired about another pet, younger and the quote was much lower. 2. I have friends with policies that are with other companies and they are not having these outrageous charges annually. 3. Many others describe the same exact situation as their pets age into senior years. You should explain to people when they first sign up how your policy increases work your model is to greatly increase pricing for senior pets and unfortunately leaves owners stuck with either no insurance or just paying the high premiums. I was warned of this years ago and experienced the increases when the pets were younger and unfortunately thought it was sour grapes however it was an accurate warning.
