H.P. dropped policy stating my pet died. She is alive and well'!

We maintained a policy with Healthy Paws for our do, for almost 7 years, even though their monthly premium had almost doubled in that time. They suddenly dropped that coverage and sent me a sympathy card, postmarked Feb 21, 2023, stating that she died. Our dog is alive and well!!! On 2/27/2023 I called Healthy Paws and spoke to a representative. She created a case number 13591649 to investigate this matter. Having heard nothing from Healthy Paws for 10 days, I called again today, 3/8/2023. Both persons that I spoke to stated that the cancellation was Healthy Paws mistake, and this matter was being “processed”. Neither could give me a time frame in which this matter would be resolved. Beware of this company.

Dental surgery

Healthy Paws insurance paid for a much needed dental surgery on my one year old Boston Terrier. He had 26 impacted adult teeth removed that presented with dentigerous cysts- a condition covered by our policy. Thankfully 80% of the costs associated with this life altering procedure were reimbursed and that allowed us to focus on comforting our little guy- not the money. Very grateful for good coverage and expedient claim approval.

does not pay large claims

My dog had surgery. Well past the waiting period and all medical records sent in twice. A month before they came back and asked for the same records again. Would NOT recommend this company

Josh, We're sorry you baby had to have surgery. All claim decisions are based on your pet’s medical records. Medical records for your pet include doctor's notes, laboratory results, and other documentation regarding any of your pet's visits to the veterinarian. These notes are kept by your veterinarian and are not typically sent home with you. Most pet insurance companies including Healthy Paws use a pet's medical records to determine if there are any pre-existing conditions that would keep us from approving a claim. Unfortunately, the records sent by your veterinarian were for your other pet enrolled with us. Our team has reached on your behalf to your vet for the appropriate records, Once received we can then process your claims. Give your babies hug from us. The Healthy Paws Team

Happy customer!

My dog had to go twice to the hospital about a week ago. I filed the claims with her insurance (healthy paws) as soon as I received her bills, it took less than 24 hours to get both my claims approved & the checks to receive money from healthy paws, came with the mail a few days later! Super happy about how quickly it all got processed from healthy paws! :)

Ever since I have adopted my 2 yorkies…

Ever since I have adopted my 2 yorkies from 4 months of age, they have run into some serious medical conditions which required tests, scans and medications. Having Healthy Paws pet insurance has made each and every vet visit a little easier knowing that part of their medical needs will be met by insurance. It gives me peace of mind knowing I can give my babies the very best medical attention. I strongly urge anyone who has a pet to get Healthy Paws pet insurance. It is so easy to file a claim and you will get reimbursed within days. Monthly premiums are affordable. It makes any chronic/acute or emergent medical situation easier to handle so you can concentrate on your furbabies needs.
