I am so glad that I chose healthy paws…

I am so glad that I chose healthy paws for my dogs insurance. My poor pup had cancer with 2 required surgeries. Thank goodness we had great insurance. Reimbursement is very fast and fair. This company goes above and beyond caring for their customers and pets! I highly recommend Healthy Paws insurance to everyone.

Healthy Paws saved my dogs

I have had the Healthy Paws for three of my dogs. One of them, Spike had many health issues at the end of his life, and he was hospitalized a few times. In California, the vet cost is ridiculously high. When Spike was hospitalized, it cost almost $4K per stay - and it was almost 5 years ago. It would have been very difficult for me to provide Spike with necessary medical care without Healthy Paws. Jake had two major surgeries in 6 months. Each of them cost almost $10K in total, and Healthy Paws covered most of the cost. Needless to say, I was so grateful. It is just ridiculous how expensive the vet care is in California. Unless you are very wealthy, you won't be able to afford it. I strongly recommend everyone to get the coverage through Healthy Paws.

Used to be a super great company

Used to be a super great company! US based agents, picked up on third ring. Very nice folks. Really it was the only insurance company I didn't have to argue with. That was then. Now it's overseas customer service, no idea what they are doing. I submitted a claim, they did not pay for blood work even though my dog was sick and should have been covered. I just requested and got transferred to US agent. She said my account terminated 2 years ago for a dog that passed away. I said no I have a current account with a new dog after that. She can't find account. Now I'm on permahold to talk to supervisor. I thought I bet Healthy Paws got bought out, sure enough Chubb bought company in July 2024. Now they are just as bad as any other insurance company. Very sad.

Best Pet Insurance

Healthy Paws has exceeded my expectations. It is so easy to submit a claim, each time I do I can't believe how quick and easy it is. Their customer service is super helpful. My dog just had cataract surgery and they even covered that expensive bill without a hassle. AND they sent a follow up email to see how my pup was doing. Such great service! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for pet insurance, Gina Earley

Increased monthly payment of $842.61 with no explanation

I had Healthy Paws for years. Then, all of a sudden they increased my monthly payments from $110.74 to $841.61 monthly. I called them but they could not give me an explanation for the increase. I have recommended them in the past but will now let the folks know that they may be in for an unexplained increase and since their pets are young, they will possibly check out other insurance companies. They were great until my cat got older. By that being said, I would think very hard before I would go with them again especially since my cat has been pretty healthy. Money lost monthly for me.
