Excellent and Caring Service

My cat Frosty was sick and turned out he had a mass inside his mesentary and my vet had to do a bunch of stuff to see what it is, if it is cancer. Turned out they had to go in nonetheless and operate. He also got kidney failure on top of that. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks and the bill came out to almost $9K. If not for Healthy Paws, I might have been in a serious financial problem.

Friendly, Fast, and Easy

I recently submitted my first claim with Healthy Paws. My 7 month old French Bulldog had contracted Giardia over Christmas. I had to take her to a different vet than her usual one since they were closed for the holidays. Healthy Paws helped me gather her medical records from the new vet, and old vet, saving me the legwork. The claim was processed in a very short amount of time, and they even called to check up on how my dog was doing! I spoke with a couple of different customer service agents, and they were all so nice and helpful, I wish more companies could follow their example.

Why didn't I sign up for this Insurance years ago?

Like many people today, my finances are extremely tight. I delayed in signing up for pet ins. because of the cost & rumors that I've heard about some ins. companies only covering 'certain' claims, etc. The bottom line is the monthly cost is not that expensive considering the peace of mind it gives me & I love my dog. And the rumor that SOME insurance companies give you a hard time about certain claims, is the reason why you have to do your homework! I did, and hands down Healthy Paws Insurance has the best reputation and coverage is great. The staff, in particular Terah & Jen have been outstanding and extremely helpful in walking through the process with me.

A Company with a Refreshing Approach!

My two miniature poodles Louis and Otto are my children, they mean the world to me. When Louis suffered from Lyme disease it took many tests to diagnose his illness. I was beside myself because he was in pain. The bill was steep and going forward I wanted to make sure that both boys were protected in the event of any future accidents or illnesses. After extensive research, I narrowed my choice to two insurance companies. I was concerned about the possibility of pre-existing conditions limiting coverage for the boys. After interviewing both finalists, I chose Healthy Paws for several reasons. The two most compelling reasons were the rigorous medical record review process and Jen Sherwood, the Claims Manager. I was encouraged to find a company that was willing to spend the time up front to make sure that I knew what was covered and not covered. Jen spent several hours with me reviewing Louis and Otto's records. I was really struck by her extensive knowledge along with her respectful, honest and warm manner. When Jen offered to contact the boys’ Vet to get more information on a particular condition noted in Otto's records I knew that my research and instinct had paid off! As a result of Jen’s going the full mile, Healthy Paws was able to provide Otto full accident and illness coverage. It is very comforting to know that the boys’ insurance company is more committed to covering illness than denying them the best possible health care…and I know exactly what I'm getting u

Amazing Pet Health Insurance

A big concern for my family with getting new pets was the large veterinary costs that come with pet ownership. I did a ton of research on this site and others and found Healthy Paws to have the most comprehensive, straight-forward plans. Healthy Paws has been a saving grace for our pets and our pocketbooks. I can't express how amazing the company has been over the last few months with our puppies and their various ailments. Their customer service is top notch--they always pick up the phone promptly when I call and they return emails within two hours or less. They have taken an active interest in our puppies, going so far as to ask us what nicknames we have for them and requesting pictures. Over the last six weeks alone, we've gotten back over $1,000 from vet bills because of the insurance. On New Years day, we noticed one of our puppies was not putting weight on her right front paw. Instead of hemming and hawing and waiting to take her in to the emergency vet, we knew that most of the bill would be taken care of by Healthy Paws and we brought her in to see the Vet. It turned out that she had a serious injury that required a large splint and multiple follow up visits. That initial $700 bill only cost us $120 and made the vet visit a no-brainer for us. If we had to pay the whole bill, we might have waited a couple of days to see if our dog got better (she wouldn't have) and we would have been subjecting her to unnecessary pain. Of course, all the follow up vi
