Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Our Mastiff puppy has had many visits to the vet over his first year, for problems ranging from relatively simple common illnesses to more serious growth-related orthopedic issues. Healthy Paws has paid every claim with remarkable speed, and without ever quibbling about the treatments used or their cost. And they always follow up after a claim to see how our puppy is doing! We'd recommend them to anyone.

Josie, age 16 months, had a small tumor on her paw which the vet recommended be removed and tested. After this was done, I scanned and faxed the claim in on Monday, received a confirmation that day, received an approval email on Friday and had my reimbursement in hand by Monday. The next day I recieved a lovely email inquiring about Josie's condition and requesting a photo. Healthy Paw's customer service is top notch and I highly recommend them. Thank you Health Paws!!!

My American Staffordshire Terrier 7 was diagnosed with a torn ACL. I have had dogs since I was young and never had this type of problem. I bought the insurance for the what if. I never thought I would have to use it only after 2 months of coverage. My dog has been really healthy until this. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have Healthy Paws Insurance. My dog is like my child. I want to be able to give her the best available health care. The claims have been handled so fast. There is also follow up. I never receive this type of treatment from my own health insurance company. Hats off to Healthy Paws. I can't thank them enough.

I have used two insurance companies in the past and the difference was like night and day. Signing up for pet insurance was easy with Healthy Paws. They did not ask for every record out there in advance. I did not have to do any leg work. The forms are pre-filled and they pulled the records when they needed them. They were very clear about what they covered and why. As soon as I submitted a claim they called and asked about my pets wellbeing. As soon as they processed the claim they called me and gave me an explanation of the decision. Within two weeks I had the check in hand. Their customer service is excellent.

I can't begin to express the exceptional level of service, satisfaction and peace of mind that Healthy Paws has given us! We signed up with Healthy Paws immediately after taking in our 8 week old French Bulldog puppy. We honestly did it as a precautionary measure for the long term, never expecting the need to use it until he was much older when the symptoms of old age would start to show. Boy were we wrong! All was going well until this past July, when our 10 month old puppy began incessantly scratching his ears to the point of bleeding and hair loss. We took him to the vet only to discover that he had an ear infection. After an exam, ear cleaning, prescription ear drops and cleaner, we walked out with a $244.82 vet bill. Since this was our first claim, it took a little longer to process because we had to wait for the vet to submit our puppy's health records to Healthy Paws. The level of communication from Healthy Paws during the wait period was better than excellent, informing us as soon as they had received the records. Shortly after, we were contacted again letting us know that the claim had been processed, and we received a check in the mail three days later reflecting a 90% reimbursement after our minimal yearly deductible. The REALLY amazing thing was that upon reviewing our puppy's records, they had spotted a medicated shampoo prescribed by our vet that we had purchased back in May when we took him in for neutering. The were happy to inform us that we coul
