Healthy Paws equals peace of mind!

I’ve had Healthy Paws for over a year and thankfully, haven’t had to use them until now. Our 4 year old Lab mix had some constant licking/itching problems for about a week. Let’s just say it was on the south bound end of a north bound dog. Before I took him to the vet, printed out my pre-populated claim form (thanks for that Healthy Paws - I can never remember my policy numbers!). It was nothing serious and the vet just gave us some topical meds for the temporary condition. My vet was pleasantly surprised at how simple their task was in filling out their portion of the claim form. The day after I faxed in the claim form I got an email telling me the claim was in process. Two days later I got a call from one of their customer care reps with an explanation of my claim payment (there was none since the amount covered did not meet the $50 annual deductible, but I knew that when I filed it). Not only were they concerned about our dog that went to the vet, they also inquired how our other dogs were doing!! So, like that credit card commercial: cost of taking family out to dinner once a month = $80. Using part of that money on Healthy Paws to cover our 2 dogs for our peace of mind = priceless!!

Very Pleasantly Surprised

I cannot say enough about how wonderful the service has been that I have received from Healthy Paws. A little over a month ago, my dog woke up with a very red, swollen eye. After 2 vet visits, she was diagnosed with a retrobulbar abscess that would likely require an MRI and surgery (the estimate I received from the vet was for $3000). We decided to try medications first, and in the meantime, I called Healthy Paws to ensure that the MRI and surgery would be covered if it were necessary. The woman I spoke with, Jen, assured me that it would and that she would do her best to make sure it was processed as quickly as possible. It turned out that the medications only worked temporarily, so our dog did end up having to have surgery to drain the abscess (the MRI was not necessary). Her eye is beginning to swell again, so again, we are trying medications and hoping that the abscess does not return. I just put my claims forms in the mail today to file my first claim, but since my initial phone call to Healthy Paws I have received 2 phone calls and an e-mail from Jen checking on my dog and following up with me on her healthcare needs. Additionally after receiving only a fax from my vet, Jen began processing the invoice from my first vet visit to ensure that I would be quickly reimbursed - that is without even officially receiving a claim from me. I researched several pet insurance companies before deciding to go with Healthy Paws, and I am so grateful that I chose them. It is

I wish I could get MY ins. through Healthy Paws

Healthy Paws has been amazing from the beginning! We took out insurance last fall, and in January our dog Mika suffered knee injury. We met most of our deductible in one visit to the vet. The paperwork has been minimal, and since meeting our deductible we are reimbursed at 90% (the level we chose )of the actual invoice from the vet--this includes physical therapy, Rx drugs and supplements! Once the claim is submitted by the vet I get an email to let me know it is being processed, another to tell me it is complete and a check is on the way. I get my reimbursement in just a few days. And that is just the money part--These people actually take a personal interest in what is going on with your pet and their organization makes significant contributions to animal welfare and rescue groups! I would recommend these people to anyone!! The coverage is affordable and comprehensive. I did a lot of research before I chose a plan and I am delighted with my choice.

Healthy Paws is the best insurance available

Healthy Paws is the most professional company I delt with this year. I called every single pet insurance and really did my homework compairing rates, servcies and benifits. I also read the reviews. I was a bit concerned that the reviewes were too positive and now I am writing a glowing review just becouse this company is amazing! Our dog Maggie had to have surgery on both of her knees (both ASLs are 90% torn similar to a human ski injury). Healthy paws covered both surgeries, x rays, meds, vistis, etc 90% of all costs exactly as they advertise and no funny busienss with paper work. We scanned the receipts and received reimursment checks within few days. The folks at Healthy paws really care about animals and pet parents, they are knowlegeble, kind and professional. If you want the best pet insurance for your dog or a cat Healthy paws is the best choice with lowest premium and best benifit coverage. This is a pet version of royal PPO! All my friends with pets are getting this new insuance.

Thank you Healthy Paws, You're a Terrific Company

Three weeks ago my wonderful Havanese, Havey, suddenly seemed criticially ill. Havey is an 11 year old Therapy dog and has brought much happiness and joy to others. I immediately brought him to the animal hospital and after x-rays, blood work and ultrasound it was discovered that he had a ruptured gall bladder. A ruptured gall bladder is life threatening;bile was pouring into his system. Emergency surgery was done to remove his gall bladder and part of his liver and to clean out the area since he had peritonitis. The surgeon told me that this was one of the most dangerous types of surgery since 30 to 50 percent of dogs die from complications in the first week after surgery. Therefore I wanted to make sure Havey had the best care available to optimize his odds. Havey remained in CCU [intensive care] for 5 days after surgery hooked up to various medications and nourishment and had a stomach drain tube and bag. He had constant round the clock care.I actually was afraid to know what the cost of his care was. I am so thankful to Healthy Paws. Having one of their top of the line plans took away the financial stress. My invoice amount was $5596.62. Havey's surgery was less than 3 weeks ago and I have already received a check for $4781.66 from them. It seemed to take them onlyabout a week after receiving my claim to process the reimbursement. They have also called a few times to ask how Havey is. They provided me not only with their quick and generous reimbu
