Significant decline in service over time
I have had healthy paws since 2017. It used to be quick and easy to submit claims via the app and get reimbursed when I first got insurance for my 2 cats. In the past few years, I have had progressive difficulty in getting claims processed. Specific issues:
1) You can only have 3 pets per email account. I have 4 pets, so couldn't get my fourth pet added to the same account.
2) Issues getting claims processed: When additional information was requested, I emailed the documents, per their request. When I continued to get emails requesting the same information, I had to call so the operator could manually add the information to the claim. This happened for multiple claims. I shouldn't have to call for every claim to ensure the information I sent via the method they requested gets added to the claim.
3) Claims getting denied: my most recent claim was denied. I have had 4 claims for the exact same issue (rehabilitation consult + treatment) approved for this pet. They are now making me appeal this claim because "consult" is not covered - even though rehabilitation services are covered and the exact same invoice item has been covered 4 times.
Overall, I am disappointed in this company and no longer recommend them. They will do everything they can to deny claims and you have to call repeatedly to get claims approved.
