Healthy Paws exceeded my expectations!

I dropped Holly off for her first day of doggy day care and when I picked her up that evening she had a huge hole in her chest. While the dogs were playing in the back yard another dog attacked her. Off we went to the after hours emergency vet and then to our normal vet first thing the following morning. The wound was pretty bad and required extensive surgery. When all was said and done the bill came to $835. I submitted my claim 8:30am Thursday morning and at 2:40pm I received an email that my claim had been received. Fifteen minutes later I received another email that the claim was approved and the check would be mailed shortly. The check arrived on Monday - exactly one week after the attack! Wow! Health Paws customer service has been great and they've contacted me several times to check in on Holly. I had pet insurance with another company and the service was nothing like Healthy Paws. I based my decision to sign up with Healthy Paws on the reviews on this website and am so glad I did!

Very, very pleased

Our dog, Riley, became suddenly dizzy and disoriented to the point of collapse. After rushing him to the vet, he was diagnosed with some kind of unidentifiable toxic poisoning that he must have picked up from the local park. Fortunately, we had obtained insurance from Healthy Paws and they sure came through. Riley spent one day at our vet's office and then was referred to the overnight emergency vet for overnight monitoring. Good news? Riley pulled through and was back to normal after 24 hours. Bad news? Vet bills totalling around $1,200. Good news? Healthy Paws covered the promised 90% after deductions, and promptly too. We are so pleased with Healthy Paws and recommend them to all our pet-owner friends.

Healthy Paws is great!

My recent experience with Healthy Paws has been wonderful. About a month ago, I noticed under my dog's eye. I took her to the vet and was told that a tissue sample could not be retrieved unless they put my dog under (since it was too close to the eye). That being the case, the vet recommended that we just remove the tumor. I had the procedure done and faxed the appropriate paperwork to Healthy Paws. They took a few days to analyze the claim, and sent me my reimbursement. It was a very positive experience, and I'm glad that I chose them.

Compassionate and Excellent!!

Our Westie, Lacie, has been diagnosed with a thyroid condition for which she was prescribed medication. This was our first time applying for reimbursement from Healthy Paws. They couldn't have been more responsive or caring. They followed up with two emails inquiring after Lacie's health which really made me feel like they care andstand behind the philosophy they share on the website! I can't recommend them highly enough!! They are terrific!!

They take care of both me and my best friend

I decided I needed pet insurance after Buddy ate a tampon and nearly died. Keeping him alive was expensive but enlightening. About a month after I joined Healthy Paws, he got a strange growth on his face. It grew quickly, and by the time I opted to spend several hundred dollars for the surgery and lab analysis, even the vet was freaked out. Fortunately, Buddy's just got a rare case of face warts. Healthy Paws reimbursed me three days after his treatment. I paid the annual $50 deductible, and they paid for 90% of the rest. It costs about $30 a month for this assurance. That's a small price to pay for knowing I'll never have to choose between keeping Buddy alive and going into thousands of dollars of debt. Healthy Paws has great customer service, quick reimbursement, and they're wonderfully unique in their coverage of hip dysplasia after 1 year of membership. They also support homeless pets, just as Buddy once was. Just today I chased down a new adopter in the Petsmart parking lot to tell him about Healthy Paws. Highly recommend them and wish I'd known about them sooner.
