Best choice I ever made!

I am thankful for Healthy Paws Health Insurance!! From their customer service to processing claims they are by far one of the best choices I ever made! We never really needed to use it until our 6 year old pit bull needed to be checked by a veterinary specialist! Healthy Paws was there to protect our beloved bully prince!! Then we had emergencies... Healthy Paws were there and saved the day!! Thank you so much Healthy Paws for all that you do! We could not have done it without you!!

Healthy Paws Member for LIFE :)

My husband and I welcomed the first addition to our family this past April, our handsome Golden Doodle, that we named Oodles! The only way I was able to get my husband to agree to the name is that his nickname is Oodes! He is the sweetest little six month old puppy. I knew that vet bills could get very costly, so I shopped around for about a month trying to find the best pet insurance I could. Needless to say, the best one I could find was Healthy Paws based on monthly cost, yearly deductable and percentage of coverage. I knew if the time came for our baby to go to the vet god forbid if anything happened to him, I would rather worry about his health, than the cost of the medical bills. This definetly came sooner than I had ever expected! Two weeks ago our pup had aweful issues with his belly. We had to bring him to the ER Vet then 5 days later back to the vet because he was vomiting over and over again. He had x-rays and our vet thought that he was going to need surgery. I was a mess, because my six month old puppy may need to have surgery, but not because the cost of the surgery was $2,800 on the low end! I knew I had Healthy Paws, I was not worried about the costs, I was worried about getting my baby boy better. The vet recommended they keep him overnight and try a more conservative route before surgery since he wasn't in much pain, so that is just what we did. The next day they took more x-rays and after fasting him and pumping him with fluids the linear object

Healthy Paws rocks!

When we adopted a greyhound, I was aware that there would likely be times that health care was needed for non-life-threatening conditions that, all the same, could easily be quite expensive. So, I thought getting pet insurance would be a good idea. After a lot of research on different insurers, I decided on Health Paws. We chose a policy that costs $50/month, with a $50 deductible. A little over a month ago, our greyhound fell down a full flight of stairs and was immediately lame on her right rear leg. She couldn't bear any weight on it and, within an hour, it was terribly swollen and bruised. It was clear that she needed to be taken to the ER but, before doing so, I checked with Healthy Paws to make sure that such a visit would be covered. The Healthy Paws customer care person's first response was of care and concern for our dog. She assured me that, other than the office visit cost and our deductible, Healthy Paws would cover all procedures, medications, and diagnostic tests. It sounded to good to be true--surely, there was 'small print' lurking in these benefits--but, at the time, it was enough for me to feel secure about going to the hospital. X-rays showed that there wasn't a fracture, yet the swelling was really dramatic. Not only was her right hind leg swollen and discolored but, within a day, it had spread to her left hind leg. She was a deep, solid grape color throughout, and it kept spreading. First her legs, then her abdomen, up into her chest. It was a

Excellent service

Insured my 10 wk old kitten Zinc six days after I got him from a local shelter. Had a 15 day waiting period for coverage. On the 16th day my new kitten had a severe limp. Took him to the local vet, after multiple ex-rays we were told he just had a sprain. The following day he was very lethargic and had a temp. Took him back to be told that he may have something called kitten limping syndrome and that the stress was causing the temp. This all happened on a Fri-Sat. On Monday I faxed all paper work to the insurance. This was my first claim ,I was unsure how quickly this would be settled and if there would be any complications. To my great surprise it was all handled with in 8 days. They paid everything that I expected them to, so no surprises. The only discouraging experience was that after the claim my insurance rate went up by 6 dollars on my other animal ( no claims) after only having it for a year. All in all though I must say very satisfied.

Puppy Emergency - Healthy Paws to the Rescue

We had our little (8 lb) Fox Terrier (Jax) since he was 8 weeks. When he was just 7 month he came up lame one night and we were scared - took him to the animal ER - it turns out he slightly dislocated his knee. The ER Visit and follow day Vet Visit hit the $800 mark - Put the super kind people at Healthy Paws came to the rescue - they review the cases, called with a few questions - and zoom, our claims were processed with a few days... and Jax is running around like all puppies should - happy and healthy (paws) !!
