Best Overall Coverage

Healthy Paws provides the most comprehensive coverage there is on the market. One annual deductible, not a per-incident deductible and now there are unlimited lifetime benefits for your pet without the per-incident limit. If you pet ever becomes seriously ill (cancer, etc), nothing else will cover the bill like Healthy Paws. There co-insurance is that you pay the 'office visit', which is manageable. The only reason I rated a 9 instead of a 10 is that your policy will go up by 9% per year as your pet ages. That is significant.

A+++ Great Policy, Great Customer Service

I recently used my Healthy Paws insurance policy to help pay for my dogs $4,000 TTA surgery (ACL repair). There is no way that I could have afforded the surgery without them. From my initial sign up to every claim the staff has been excellent. Leslie was quick to answer every question that I had and sent out all claim information and payment super quick. Would highly recommend!

First pet claim - ever

Along with all of the accpeted techniques of training a dog (crating, puppy classes, hollistic foods, etc.), buying pet insurance was just not something anyone we knew did back in the 70's and 80's when I grew up. However, veterinary costs weren't what they were back then either. So, I have a family of my own and we put in our reservation with the breeder and our "little boy" was born on Halloween, last year. Our breeder gave us tons of material to read about training, health, etc., etc. Thanks to the internet, I read up on the costs of animal surgery...my jaw dropped. I knew, right away, that if I could find an insurer who charged reasonable premiums for major medical coverage - I would buy it. All of the great review for Healthy Paws drew me to read about them first. It was hard because my employer has entitled me to a discount with another popular insurer. However, there was something more personal with this carrier. I appreciate their mission and I felt that their coverage was excellent for the premium charged. Last week, our pup (Brady) began throwing up repeatedly. My wife was becomming very concerned and so she brought him to the veterinary hospital. Sure enough, he had a foreign object in his system (later, it looked to be a Brazil nut in its' shell). They gave him fluid therapy, x-rays and something to help him pass the object (thank goodness - no surgery was suggested at that point). Bottom line: He passed it. So, I submitted the claim to Healthy Paw

Fantastic service!

We couldn't be happier with Healthy Paws. In the fall we adopted Anna, a seven-year-old shih tzu, from a shelter. Because we knew Anna had a history of severe neglect, we opted for a pet health insurance policy right away, just in case problems arose down the road. A few weeks ago Anna was checked into a vet ER on a Sunday after severe gastrointestinal issues left her so sick she could hardly lift her head. 36 hours (and $1,500) later, Anna was back on her feet. The vet ER submitted all expenses to Healthy Paws. Within a few days we got a friendly, straightforward email from Terah requesting some additional information. Today we found out that all of Anna's expenses under the terms of the policy were covered -- which will save us close to $1,000. For premiums of less than $50/month, I'd say this is the best investment we've made in a long time. The application process was easy. While our policy doesn't cover routine care, I think that's smart for both Healthy Paws and pet owners. It keeps our premiums a little lower and saves the coverage for the big expenses, like the ER visit. I also liked the fact that Healthy Paws offers good coverage for older pets. Not all pet insurers would issue a new policy for a seven-year-old dog. Finally, I appreciated the speed at which our claim was processed and the caring tone of all of my communications with Terah, who oversaw everything from start to finish. If Healthy Paws offered health insurance for humans, I'd sign my fami

Amazing Customer Service!

Took my little Sammy in to the vet with some pretty severe gastrointestinal problems on a Monday. Submitted my claim on Wed.to Healthy Paws. By the time I returned home from providing the vet with the forms to fill out - Healthy Paws had received it and sent me an email to let me know that they had. The next morning (today) - I had another email from them letting me know that the claim had been processed and a check would be on the way, shortly! If only my HUMAN insurance would work as well!!! I HIGHLY recommend Healthy Paws. I am SO glad that I chose this company from the MANY others that are available. Thank you!!
