Healthy Paws Really Cares and Fast Service As Well

We've been using Healthy Paws for a little over a year and a half and the first year, thankfully, we did not meet our deductible and therefore didn't really 'need' Healthy Paws. This year, however, our dog had a an eye issue (she's fine and it went towards paying our deductible) and more recently a GI issue requiring an overnight with IV fluids, x-rays, meds, etc and we received our claim check within a couple of days. The claim process is easy, clear to understand, and fast. We keep a blank claim form on file at the vet and they handle everything with Healthy Paws. We also really like the personal connection with Healthy Paws - we can talk to real people easily and they even reach out to us after submitting a claim to see how our dog is recovering.

Excellent and speedy claim process

My puppy's claim was handled in an extremely efficient manner. Healthy Paws gives very reasonable service ad one feels like they and their pet are important. From start to finish this was an excellent experience and I am very had I selected them.

It's paid for itself!!!

Our 1 year old Westie, Zoey, started vomiting and having diarrhea late on a Friday and ended up in surgery by Sunday evening, racking up over $4,200 in vet bills (at the emergency animal hospital, no less). It took longer to get all of the paper work to send to Healthy Paws than it did to get the claim resolved. They responded to and settled our claim quickly. I can't express how important that was. We were already so worried and stressed out about the surgery, let alone the cost. The fact that Healthy Paws doesn't care which vet you go to and covers 90% of all of our costs (less the initial vet visit and our $100 deductible) validated our choice for pet insurance. I couldn't recommend them highly enough!

DISAPPOINTING

I chose Healthy Paws after reading all the positive reviews BUT I was very disappointed. They denied all the claims that I submitted with the same reason that they are all related to the preexisting condition. They were also very slow in processing my claims. I had to follow up to make sure that they received the claims I submitted. It was a waste of time.

Continues to amaze me.

Let me start by saying that I'm medical insurance broker in los angeles and paid to advise clients on employee benefits and insurance value for humans. While I dont sell any pet insurance I decided I would sign up for one since I purchased a large breed and thought there could be hip issues down the road. 2 years later our 6 year old pitbull rescue (named fluffy) was diagnosed with cancer. Health paws not only paid the claims quickly (I handle claims issues with dozens of health and life carriers on a monthly basis, so trust me healthy paws is fast!) but showed the intelligence to cancel our plan and refund me the remaining part of the month after she unfortunately had to be put down. Included was a sympathies memo on the statement. A week later an actual hand written card showed up with notes from several employees. I was stunned. All this from a faceless Internet insurance company! Well they certainly aren't faceless to me anymore and I can ensure you I will completely recommend this company to anyone who asks. Yes the money back from claims helps,But the personal touches did far more for me though during this rough patch of family life missing one of its best members. A very nice touch from a company that didn't have to do anything but send a check. When we are ready for our next dog, healthy paws will again get our business and continued loyalty. This is how to build a lasting business! With service like theirs I expect them to continue to grow.
