Customer Service is Fantastic

I've been a Healthy Paws customer for two years and have great experience after great experience. My claims haven't even been that large, a torn dew claw and another one for a foxtail removal. But every time Healthy Paws has delivered as promised with speed and very personal service. One of the top customer service companies in any industry!

Outstanding!

We own 3 big beautiful rambunctious Labrador Retrievers. We don't have children and consider them every bit our children. Their health and well being are paramount to us. I've owned animals all my life but pet insurance is a relativly new offering for pet owners. It has come a long way in the last 15 years. I was reluctant to purchase it originally as the reviews were not so convincing and the coverage less than attractive. When we saved our third Lab from going to the pound and decided to adopt him, the time had come to consider it. I researched all the providers and compared all their ratings, rates and policies and decided on Healthy Paws. It is by far one of the best decisions I've ever made. Our oldest Lab Coopah has recently developed some health issues that had left him listless and unable to climb stairs or jump up to his favorite spot on the bed. He would also cry out in pain for no apparent reason. This of course had us very worried and led to many visits to the Vet hospital in search of answers. Turns out it may have been an autoimmune disease as well as low thyroid levels. I say may have been as we never did get a conclusive diagnosis (it's still ongoing)however he has been gradually getting stronger with more energy and he no longer cries out in pain. Healthy Paws has been there every step of the way supporting and reimbursing us for 90% of the cost we incurred during this process. They are fast (reimbursment checks are received generally 2-3 days after the claim

A Life Saving Insurance Company That Really Cares

Hi, My name is Lisa Russell and I'm an Emmy-winning filmmaker based in NYC. Why did I have to say that? Because I'm writing this review with as much seriousness as I take my work. I enrolled my two dogs who are both 11 in Healthypaws after reading a little bit about them on the internet. I had other pet health insurance plans in the past but was interested in trying them out. Thank god I did. Not too long after my enrolllment wait period ended, my one dog got very sick. Partly bc of the negligence of a vet I was taking him to. Long story short, we found out my dog was extremely diabetic, did not get the care he needed immediately and ended up becoming ketonic and I had to take him to the pet emergency hospital. His illness required three days in the hospital with payment required up front. I was able to cover the first two days but on the third day I was about ready to give up and put my dog down. I talked to a wonderful representative by the name of Meredith who walked me through everything, assured me and informed me that if I could the hospital to fax me the estimate for the last nights stay that they would give a credit card to cover their portion of it. No other insurance company needed to do that and between how fast they acted, the care they showed me and my dog, I have a whole new respect for the health insurance industry. I always assumed they just wanted my money but I felt they truly cared about the life of my dog. I had not been a member

Easy communication and quick reimbursement

Our dog had undergone a series of diagnostic tests and subsequent treatment for heartworms. (Even in spite of staying on top of regular meds, dogs are still very much at risk for them!) Healthy Paws has been very easy to communicate with via e-mail and the reimbursement process was quick and fair. I'm very glad we have a policy with them. I'm a first-time pet insurance policyholder and I'm glad I made that decision. I received reimbursements within two weeks of first faxing the claims to them.

I honestly have to say that they have great customer service and help you whenever you need it! This will be my second time they have helped me make sure both of my princesses are in good medical condition without me having to worry about the medical cost which was a roughly a total of $5500! Yup, thats right wouthout them I wouldnt know what to do because they reimbursement me super-fast as well and maid it quick and painless. Also, on top of that they check up on them after to make sure they were feeling better. They made me feel like they care just as much about my babies as I do! I couldn’t be happier with Healthy Paws! I would recommend them to everyone! When I first was looking for insurance for my puppies I did my research and hoped I pick the right one and after my experience hands down I know Healthy Paws was the best choice I could of made! =)
