EVEN WHEN IT'S NOT THEY STILL CLAIM IT IS. GRANTED MY DOG GIO (YORKIE) 8 YEARS OLD HAS HAD HIS ISSUES. HIS LAST ULTRASOUND WAS FINE THEY STILL HAD ISSUES. SPOKE WITH A TARA IN C/S. SHE CLAIMED MEDICINES THAT HAD BEEN GIVEN TO MY DOG IN THE PAST WAS NOT COVERED WHEN IT HAD BEEN. I JUST GIVE UP WITH WHAT THEY PROMISE. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMERS BEWARE OF THEIR FALSE PROMISES.

I am thrilled with this company - they are the bes

My GSD has a bilateral TPLO and without insurance would have been extremely expensive for me. For some people without insurance they may have to put their pet down from expense. I was so happy I had Healthy Paws insurance but even more thrilled when I actually sent in my claims. I was able to go to a specialist for this treatment and got first class care. When I submitted the claim it was almost immediate that Healthy Paws got right back to me to let me know they received it - then within hours my claim was processed. I have never had insurance like this even for myself. No hassle, extremely fast, and the claims were sent with easy to understand explanations. They paid 90% just like they said they would and also inquired how my dog was doing. A plus is also that they donate to rescues. This company talks the talk and walks the walk - just the best experience.

They rock!

After being a pet owner for quite some time, I finally decided to protect my furry children with pet insurance. Boy am I happy I made that decision! Knowing I had just adopted a breed that was prone to knee issues, we decided to go with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance (HPPI). And while we were covering one dog, why not the other (even though we thought we'd never need it for our other one). Just a few short months after getting coverage our Am. Bulldog had to have cruciate ligament surgery. Having HPPI was a life saver - not only did it bring us TREMENDOUS financial relief, but I wasn't stressed to the max trying to figure out how to pay for this huge vet bill. And low and behold, my other dog decided to eat a bottle of his furry brother's pain meds - and we were back to the emergency room in less than a week with another very large vet bill. They were both covered and the process to get the reimbursement was incredibly fast and easy! To top it off, I received a personalized message from the staff to check in and see how my babies were doing (talk about great customer service!). I can't say enough kind words about thsi company. It's one of the best decisions I've made as a pet owner and will be a HPPI customer for life! Highly recommend thier services to any pet owner - because you never know when you'll need some extra financial support!

Fast, friendly, and affordable

We weren't sure what to expect from a pet insurance company since we had never even heard of pet insurance before we got Healthy Paws. After being insured for a almost a year now I have to say that we will always have all of our pets insured through Healthy Paws. There is no worse feeling than having to take cost into account when trying to decide the best medical course of action for your pet. Being able to tell the vet, "do whatever is best for the dog," without worrying about the money is a wonderful feeling. We pay around $35 dollars for each of our three dogs. Whether the we end up saving money in the long run or paying slightly more, I'm not sure. But we can easily make room in our budget for $100 dollars a month. Taking a 15 thousand dollar hit at one time from a vet bill, which we expect to happen at least once, would be detrimental to our finances. I cannot say enough good things about this company. They process claims within a day usually and we get the check within 2-3 days. We get emails from Healthy Paws asking about our boys after they have been sick. Do yourself a favor, if you know that you would pay any amount to save your dog, get the insurance.

Used 2 other pet insurance companies before H-Paws

I am a professional police dog trainer and handler. Until I retired, my working dog company had over 40 dogs. We used VPI for several years on the recommendation of our vet. They were OK because we knew nothing better. Over time VPI started "nickel and diming" us over vet bills. SO I looked for another. The second company offered a better claims reimbursement, but there customer service was non-existent. Claims were SLOWWww. And they did not cover medications or physical therapy. I did some research on-line and found Healthy Paws. There 90% coverage plan for 2 dogs was $20 a month cheaper than the previous vet insurance company. Their plans cover everything we need. Claims service is amazingly fast. No quibbling over our vet bill. They just pay it—everything but the vet exam. On top of it all, one of my dogs had to have knee surgery (TPLO) recently. Someone at H-Paws sent me an email asking how Zoey was doing. How cool is that? H-Paws is impressive. I recommend it to all professional trainers and handlers, especially to police departments with K9 working dogs. Budgets are tight. They can save big bucks on their vet costs.
