Pet insurance that surpasses people insurance

We have two mixed breed dogs ages 1 and 4.5. Both were adopted as puppies from a no kill puppy shelter when they were 9 weeks old. Our oldest did not have health coverage at the time of his traumatic canine fracture when he was two. After a $3000 root canal bill I spent significant time researching insurance options. While I knew Healthy Paws would not cover the pre-existing dental issue, we have had good luck getting various bills covered for expensive labs to work up GI issues and possible malabsorption as well as an ER visit for food bloat after Tanner helped himself to 4 pounds of kibble. The youngest has had trouble with a knee problem since age 6 months. While this has not required surgery to date, he has gone to an orthopedic specialist, undergone x-rays and a month of physical therapy to include cold laser treatments. All of this was covered exactly how Healthy Paws describes their coverage and with no hassles! Tonic also had an ER visit for possible battery ingestion and the $200 X-ray was covered. In general, office visits and labs or medication for routine preventative care are not covered benefits so you do need to figure this into the cost analysis when choosing a plan. It seems that this is a fairly standard practice for most pet insurance plans. It does not take many ER visits or expensive labs to at least break even on return of investment for monthly memberships. We really appreciate how supportive and responsive Healthy Paws has been! Best Pet Insurance Company Ever !!!!!

Dear Readers: I'm so impressed with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance Company that I was complelled to write a review for them. I've had other Pet Insurance companies with other pets I've had in the past, but I have always had issues with them from processing claims in a timely manner to excluding everything under the sun for coverage events. However, Healthy Paws Pet Insurance is so much better than the rest because they do 'care' about you and your pets welfare as they are constantly checking with you to make sure that your claim was properly processed, that your pet is doing ok now, and call you up on the phone to ask if there is anything else they can do for you! Oh my gosh, this was such a change from the other pet insurance companies that I've dealt with that it took me totally by surprise. Healthy Paws pet policies are not only affordable, but have very inclusive health benefits for your pets, and is one of the few companies that have "Unlimited Lifetime Benefits" (no dollar amount limit for your pets) for all covered pets. Therefore, I would HIGHLY recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance Company over all others. Please give them a try because I know that you won't be disappointed :)

FANTASTIC insurance company!!

I did a lot of comparison shopping for dog insurance before purchasing Healthy Paws, and I am very glad I did. My dog had a CCL rupture (she's only two years old) and needed a TPLO surgery, costing $3200. The claim process is very simple, Healthy Paws was very quick to respond and we received our reimbursement check less than 2 weeks after first filing. I even received a follow up email from Healthy Paws to check on how my dog was recovering. Great customer service and I would DEFINITELY recommend this company to other pet parents. It's a small monthly expense that delivers such peace of mind in knowing your furry friend is covered!

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance Was Such A Blessing

In January of 2012 my black lab, Lucy, was diagnosed with adrenal cancer (and Cushing's Disease). Her cancer was inoperable because it had also "severely invaded" her vena cava (vein to the heart). However, the University of Missouri Veterinary Teaching Hospital decided to take her as a patient in their oncology department. Lucy was scheduled to receive radiation treatment at the hospital M-F for four weeks (the entire month of March), and would spend the weekends with me at home. She was a trooper through it all - stoic, and such a sweetheart. However, on Tuesday, March 26th she took an unexpected turn for the worse. As best the doctors can tell, Lucy developed a tumor clot that traveled through her heart into her lungs (which then produced fluid in her lungs resulting in Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome, ARDS). Because of their quick care, they immediately took her into ICU and stabilized her so she was not struggling to breathe for long. However, within a few hours of my arrival she began to get worse. I had to put her down at 1:30am Wednesday morning; it was the hardest thing I've ever done. Her radiation was going well and she was due to come home two days later (on Good Friday), so this was an extremely unfortunate turn of events. Since her passing, every day has been a struggle. I miss my best friend so much I hurt, continuously. The twelve years seemed to fly by in a minute; what I would give for more time. Though my greatest pleasure would come from seein
