Excellent service and coverage.

Soon after losing our much loved older dog last fall we adopted a little fluff ball mixed-breed puppy from a rescue group specializing in shelter dogs. Even though he was young and healthy, our vet suggested getting pet health insurance for him, especially considering the huge vet bills we had just been through with our old dog. We decided on the Healthy Paws 90% coverage policy (excluding vet exam fees) because we wanted to be covered in case of a big bill, but still have reasonable monthly premiums. We had one or two vet visits over the winter and early spring that brought us up to our deductible, and we promptly received a reimbursement check for the eligible charges as soon as the vet submitted our invoices. Then one Sunday in May our puppy suddenly became very sick, stumbling, drooling, and hallucinating (he was trying to walk into the wall). It was clear that he had somehow gotten into something extremely toxic, though we're not sure about what it could have been, since he has always been either confined to a very safe part of our house, on leash on walks, or closely supervised in our safe, fenced yard. We suspect that he may have eaten a toxic mushroom, since we live in a forested area with lots of natural vegetation. We rushed him to the emergency vet, where they first tried to bring the seizures under control, not very successfully, and they were not sure they would be able to save him. Finally, after many hours, they managed to safely tube some charcoal into him

Great! Quick claim process and reimbursement

Our boxer ruptured his CCL and required TPLO surgery. HealthyPaws was incredibly helpful throughout the claims process. No surprises just quick reimbursement! I highly recommend this great insurance company for all those active young pups!

Teddy got a foxtail in his ear

Healthy Paws pet insurance processed the claim the same day I submitted it and the check arrived at my house two days later. The companies service is amazing. They also sent follow up emails checking on Teddy and his ear. Love the company. Cannot say enough about how great they are. Just simply, thank you Healthy Paws.

I WISH THEY COVERED HUMANS!

I think this is the first review I have ever written in my life. Why? Because Healthy Paws is so extraordinary I want to tell as many people about it as possible. We have a 9.5 month old Brussels Griffon, who is all love, but sadly contracted Giardia (a parasite) several months back. For those of you that don't know about Giardia, it is a tough parasite to get rid of--many compare it to children having lice. I have been in and out of the vet treating Zola at least 6 times in the past few months. Each visit requires a fecal test and each time it comes back positive and we need to retreat with medicine. Each time, Healthy Paws covered the fecal test at 90% and all her medicine. As a one off, this doesn't amount to much but when you are back in the vet every other week it has truly been a lifesaver. When I submit a claim, I get an instant reimbursement notice and receive a check in the mail a few days later. I only wish my insurance was so efficient. Just the other day, I received an email from Healthy Paws asking how Zola was doing (and this was not a generic email). It nearly brought me to tears, it has been such a struggle trying to get rid of this parasite and Healthy Paws has truly been caring, professional and most of all compassionate. I have told several vets about Healthy Paws and encourage them to tell all their clients. They are just extraordinary.

Superb Claims Processing... Amazing Service

I have used Healthy Paws for my German Shepherd since 2010. I only have good experiences to share. Bergen has had 2 major incidents - a broken leg and now sadly a perforated ear drum. Each time claims processing was more than fast - It was in fact incredibly fast, same day processing. This is the very best insurance service for your pet. I could only wish that people health insurance is as efficient was Healthy Paws.
