Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I have been a very happy Healthy Paws customer for almost a year now. This was the first time I'd purchased health insurance for a pet, so I really didn't know what to expect. Unfortunately for my German Shepherd, we've had to make use of the insurance a few times.. But I can honestly say that Healthy Paws has exceeded all expectations. The paperwork is easy to fill out and submit, their claims processing is always SUPER fast (and correct the first time!), and they are very easy to contact and immediately responsive. This is not a company where you'll get stuck in an automated phone system or receive "Do not reply" emails. It's really refreshing to get such great customer service these days! My dog is part of my family and it is really comforting to know that I will never be in a position where I can't afford the best health care for him. He just recently had to have a mass removal surgery and Healthy Paws paid his $2700 claim- no questions asked. Well, except that they sent an email asking how he was recovering. :) I am beyond impressed!

Healthy Paws came to the rescue when my dog's digestive issue warranted two x-rays and an ultrasound. My claims were processed efficiently and the customer service was outstanding. Highly recommend!

Very impressed! I've been paying for insurance for my 50-lb dog just for this year, and finally submitted a claim this July. I was a little scared of having wasted my money since no one I knew had ever submitted one before, so everything was heresay. But I submitted it, got an email that night that it was processing, and within 1.5 weeks (they say the 1st takes the longest) got an email detailing what they would never be able to cover, and what they could cover from this claim, which was everything!, and very reasonable. All outlined for me so I won't be confused in the future, and won't bother submitting what they can't cover. Got a check in the mail within another week. Yay! I'm very happy they have my business! (Details: It was a surgical removal of a little lump on the ear, and she had had little bumps on other areas before, so I worried they wouldn't cover it based on similar "pre-existing" things even though there was no proof they were related. Apparently, and happily, they get specific - they won't cover if they come back in the exact same spot. But luckily I found out it was nothing, so I won't worry. They did not cover the nail trim. Duh.)

When we got a puppy a year ago, we decided having pet insurance would be a good idea. After researching different companies, we went with Healthy Paws. Every single experience so far has been great! It's so easy to fax the claims and within a day or two, an email is sent with and explanation of benefits. They also send a more personal email sending well wishes to Newman. It's thoughtful and caring.....nice to know they're actually looking at what the claims are for and understanding there are worried puppy parents behind every claim. We would highly recommend healthy paws if you're thinking about pet insurance

When my little 4 year old dachshund had a liver failure for an undetermined cause I was not ready to give up a fight to save her. She was certainly trying her best. She was hospitalized for 3 days and then vet follow ups daily for two weeks. She was on several medications and supplements. The vet bills were mounting up and I knew this would have been a major hardship on me however I could not let her be put to sleep because of the costs. They have come through with their policy agreements and not only paid a majority of the bills but there is so much personal care and concern regarding how my little Jazzy dog is doing that it is amazing. I was totally shocked by the excellent caring service I have received from Healthy Paws Pet Insurance and recommend them to anyone with a pet. As I discovered you just never know when a sudden illness or injury might occur but knowing I had Healthy Paws Pet Insurance relieved the stress of the financial aspect of getting my dog healthy again.
