Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Healthy paws helped save the use of my dogs leg with no hesitation and no questions. Without healthy paws I wouldn't have been able to give Goldie the care she needed. I didn't have to choose from a list of providers either. I picked the time, place, and doctor for Goldie's surgery, all expenses cover 90% and I got my check reimbursed within 5 days. My husband and I recently needed to file a claim for our dog, Leo, after he had a strange bout of acute vomiting and diarrhea. I had forgotten that I had a policy out for Leo with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance and am so glad that I did! Their policy options are amazing. I appreciate the ability to choose to have 90% reimbursed with a relatively low deductible for a reasonable monthly payment. I still feel a bit silly paying for pet insurance but currently my husband and I are not financially able to handle a major veterinary bill for things like this recent issue and the monthly premium is much more manageable. Their claims management team worked quickly with us to process the claim. It's been less than a week since we received the final claim statement, so still waiting on the check but we expect to receive it in the next few days. The best part of this most recent experience is that I realized another past vet visit was covered and I was able to submit that claim as well!

Outstanding service. They cover so many things and really saved me the agony of having to pay for something that I can't really afford right now. I've been a Healthy Paws customer for 3 years and overall, I'm very happy. I've submitted several claims, and every time the service and payment has been ridiculously fast. I love being able to email claims to them. I feel the cost is worth it; and yes, the premiums have modestly risen over time. I'm probably running even with my claims and the total I've paid in monthly premiums. But knowing that I have some coverage if God forbid something really bad happens to my dog, it's a great feeling. One point: I'm very glad I started coverage when my dog was a puppy. The pre-existing clause would have been a negative (although every pet insurance has it). I wish the industry took a page from Obamacare and wipe out pre-existing exclusions.

I can't say enough good things about Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. I have two Rottweilers that have been insured since they were puppies. I shopped around for insurance before settling on Healthy Paws. One of the many reasons I chose them is because you only pay your deductible once a year. Other companies wanted it paid for every incident. At Healthy Paws they genuinely care about your pets, and it shows in their customer care. They pay very fast too. I usually have my check within one week of submitting the claim. I definitely made the right choice when I chose Healthy Paws.
