Saved because we had healthy paws!

We were so devastated when we had to take voodoo in for an appointment and then it led to emergency stomach surgery... Even more so when we found how much we had to spend to save her life!!!! We are so incredibly thankful for you all at healthy paws thank you so much for your prompt service and right before a holiday too! We cried when she came home today and cried again when we saw the reimbursement email out of relief. Thank you thank you!!! I sent the claims form by email the day before July 4th and received an email back with the reimbursement amount within two hours, that is incredible!

Helpful, Fast, Flexible

I've just had Healthy Paws insurance for a few months and am impressed by how fast they process my claims..1-2 days! They're also very responsive to my concerns and questions, especially when my vet's office wasn't asaccomodating or adept in handling the paperwork. ..and I've found them affordable compared to many other companies. I think Healthy Paws can teach our (human) healthcare providers and insurance companies a thing or two!

Pleasantly surprised

I had always questioned why I had pet insurance on my dog. He's been healthy as can be and we've only been to the vet for shots, etc. That all changed 3 weeks ago. Giacomo was in the local dog park doing what Italian Greyhounds love to do... run. He was having a great time but things changed in seconds. Tempers flared and the next thing I knew another dog had grabbed him by his throat. I got them apart and raced to the local emergency hospital. He was vomiting blood and had a gash over his left eye. Long story short. Two days in intensive care and a follow up visit to his regular doctor ran up a tab of over $3,000! I called Healthy Paws to make sure things were covered and they were very assuring and concerned over his care. All the bills were submitted, processed and a check issued in less than one week! Any company can easily process a claim but the genuine concern over the phone and the follow up email the following week asking how he was feeling was fantastic. I really felt that they cared about their clients. I will always remember that and will recommend that everyone get insurance on their pet and to definitely check out Healthy Paws.

Fantastic from the first day!

My husband and I recently adopted a 9-month-old Yorkiepoo named Bailey - our first dog. Our vet strongly advised us to get pet insurance. I did a bunch of research and wound up using Healthy Paws. It's turned out to be a great decision! Just a week after the 15-day waiting period had expired, Bailey became ill with a fever and GI distress that caused severe vomiting and diarrhea. With an 8-pound dog, the inability to keep food down is pretty serious! She's on the mend now, thank heaven, but the whole ordeal involved 2 trips to the vet (one an emergency), 3 nights there, a ton of tests, several prescriptions, etc. Needless to say, it was expensive. Even after meeting our deductible and paying for the doctor's examination fees (which we knew about up front), the Healthy Paws plan covered a significant amount of the total. It's such a relief to know that, where Bailey's concerned, we have one less thing to worry about! I would recommend Healthy Paws without hesitation to anyone looking for pet insurance - they're terrific!

great customer service & quick turn around

My cat needed one of his claws removed, which required a brief surgery. I faxed my completed claim form (with documentation) around 9:30am. By 3:00pm that same day, I received an EOB explaining what was covered. It was exactly as I expected. The office visit was not covered, the company is very straight forward about this, and I had my annual $50 deductible. Everything else was covered at 90%, and I received my check several days later. On top of this, this morning I received an email from the company checking in to see how my cat was doing. I responded, and the company got right back to me. Also, it was a human being, not simply a form email. I was incredibly pleased with the prompt addressing of my claim as well as the follow-up inquiry. This is the second claim I have filed within a few years. The first time I had some questions about the claim, and the company responded right away and explained everything to me. I have been very pleased with their customer service, and would highly recommend this company to pet owners.
