Excellent

When my little 4 year old dachshund had a liver failure for an undetermined cause I was not ready to give up a fight to save her. She was certainly trying her best. She was hospitalized for 3 days and then vet follow ups daily for two weeks. She was on several medications and supplements. The vet bills were mounting up and I knew this would have been a major hardship on me however I could not let her be put to sleep because of the costs. Lucky for me I had purchased Healthy Paws Pet Insurance on her earlier. It was the smartest thing I could have ever done! They have come through with their policy agreements and not only paid a majority of the bills but there is so much personal care and concern regarding how my little Jazzy dog is doing that it is amazing. I was totally shocked by the excellent caring service I have received from Healthy Paws Pet Insurance and recommend them to anyone with a pet. As I discovered you just never know when a sudden illness or injury might occur but knowing I had Healthy Paws Pet Insurance relieved the stress of the financial aspect of getting my dog healthy again.

Wonderful!

I originally signed up for Healthy Paws pet insurance thinking that we may need it down the road as our puppy ages. Little did I know that my 5 month old puppy would have an accident and fracture his front leg. Healthy Paws saved us! They were extremely caring, helpful and answered my emails within hours! I’ve never worked with a better company. They actually care about what you and your pet are going through. I can’t say enough good things about them. Thank you so much Healthy Paws!!

Process to get reimbursed was so simple!

I've had previous pets on other insurance companies, and by far Healthy Paws was the simplest and fastest. I got the check in the mail quickly... But I only have one gripe... I actually sent two emails. I did not know that if an email was larger than 5MB, their system automatically rejects it. An email letting me know it was rejected would have been nice. Once I called them, and they told me the email limitation for the claim, I modified the claim PDF's and emailed it. Instant response. After that it was a few days before the check was in the mail. I appreciate your quick response and the detailed invoice.

Pleasantly surprised!

My newly adopted Beagle Gracie ate "something" while she was being "watched" by a friend. For four nights she was sick with diarrhea, but she was still eating. On the fifth day she would not eat and seemed to be really lethargic. I brought her to our vet and he gave her some medicine and a shot. A few hours later, she still hadn't eaten and seemed really really lethargic and wasn't drinking water either. I returned to my vet and he took an x-ray and thought that perhaps she might need some type of surgery to remove whatever appeared to be in her stomach. I was advised to bring my sweet girl to an Emergency Hospital that my vet recommended because my vets office perhaps could have done further testings, surgery, but they do not have overnight staff and they did not recommend that she stay there. My little Beagle was at the Emergency Hospital for two nights. I was very upset and concerned because we were not sure if she needed surgery or not at the time of admittance. Luckily she did not need surgery and they kept her on IV and rest for those two days and nights. As you can imagine, the bill for the Emergency Hospital was very steep but what can you do when your pet is sick, you have to take care of them. This was our first experience/claim with a Pet Insurance Company and we were so happy that we had decided to participate in their program. Everyone I spoke to or emailed was very helpful and kind. This was a very traumatic situation for us because we were not sure e

Healthy Paws is the REAL deal!

For pet lovers who really desire best health coverage for their pets - Healthy Paws is the one! Our golden retriever Mojo has had a Healthy Paws policy for 18 months. Three important take-aways during this time which endear us to Healthy Paws:1. Reasonable, low cost monthly premiums which provide good coverage. We chose a $250 annual deductible with 90% reimbursable and our premium is $34/ month. 2. Reasonable increases to premium upon policy anniversary. Some background - first insurance company (ugh, Trupanion, separate review) which covered Mojo notified us 11 months into policy that premiums would almost triple at first anniversary. Adios Trupanion. Fast forward - eleven months with Healthy Paws we were notified premiums would increase $3 - reasonable. 3. In first year with Healthy Paws, Mojo had lacerated paw with hospitalization expenses of about $1,300. Healthy Paws not only processed reimbursement in 24 hours but followed up with Emails to ensure receipt and Mojo's recovery. Mojo and I highly recommend insuring your pets with Healthy Paws!
