Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Our puppy underwent surgery for spaying and we were surprised to hear that she also required a procedure to shorten her soft palate. While this is seen at times with her breed we were not aware that she had this condition. Healthy Paws reviewed her records and took time to discuss her case with our veterinarian. In the end, they sided in our favor that this was not in fact a pre-existing condition. We were re-imbursed to the full amount of our insurance policy. They were friendly and receptive at all times during this speedy process.

I have another Pet Ins and put a claim in the same time, I'm still waiting as it has not been processed yet, I already have my check from HPI - less than 30 days!When my Vet asked for a recommendation I was most happy to say HPI!

I can't say enough good things about Healthy Paws Insurance. Every claim that has been submitted to them has been looked at within 24 hours and I have had a check in my hand within a week or two at the most. The staff at Healthy Paws is incredible. After each surgery, they have checked in with me to see how my dog is doing. They care so much about the animals that are insured through them. If you don't have insurance for your dog yet, you should. It has been such a help for me when determining if I could afford to have the surgery my dog so needed. Between my vet and healthy paws, my dog is taken really care of. I love these guys!!!! I have recommended healthy paws to all my dog owner friends and every one has bought insurance from them.

I would recomend Healthy Paws to anyone looking to protect their pet. They are very quick with reimbursements, usually in less than 1 week. In fact, we receive confirmation emails of our claims being approved within a day of the office visit. Healthy Paws has given us the piece of mind that we can continue to care for our dog without having to think about whether we can afford it or not. It is a horrible feeling to have to think about whether you can save your pet due to cost. Healthy Paws has taken that away from us so we can concentrate on getting our puppy feeling better! I have only had Scout's insurance with Healthy Paws since Feb of 2013. Here it is July and I have already submitted 3 claims. (Have to love puppies!) The first 2 claims went in together. It took about a week & a half to get it all completed as they had to enter the medical history and get all of the background on the situation. The 3rd claim was about 2 weeks ago when my Scout got a bottle of vitamins and ate them. (vitamins, platic bottle, lid and all) Scout spent the night in the hospital on a Wednesday and came home Thursday morning. I called Healthy Paws Thursday morning and asked them to fax a claim form to my vet as I had forgotten to take one. Friday morning I called the vet to verify that they had it. Indeed they did. The vet completed the form and faxed it back first thing that Friday morning. That same day, I had a response back from Healthy Paws on the claim. I was very impressed that they had processed it in less than a day. The explaination was clear and easy to understand. The check came in the mail approx a week later. I have spoken with Healthy Paws staff several times by phone & email. They are always very polite & helpful. They followed up after the viatmin incident to make sure Scout was ok as well. I'm thankful for the quality service I have received so far with them. Hoping that I don't need to talk to them any time soon.....
