Best dog "accessory" you can buy
I was really skeptical about pet insurance - that 1. our dog's visits to the vet would be covered (he'd have enough issues to make it worthwhile (and that they'd be the covered type of incident)) and 2. it would be easy to get money (especially when you're paying out of pocket and being reimbursed)
I was pleasantly surprised that 1. not only are the premiums worth it, but that they really do cover everything that is non-preventative. And 2. it was super easy to file the claim (I printed out and brought the form to the vet and they faxed it in for me) and they keep you notified via email as they are processing it.
Seriously, paying the premiums is the best "accessory" you can buy - I spend way more on chew toys that don't last a month! I also want to add, I wasn't sure if we should bring him into the vet initially - but knowing we were covered by insurance made the decision much easier, and it's nice to have that peace of mind!
