An insurance company that lives up to it's promise
As luck (bad luck!) would have it, in March of 2013 Madison was diagnosed with lymphoma. To make a long story somewhat shorter, by the time she died December 5, the medical bills exceeded $22,000. And of this amount, our insurance company paid all but about $2500. But it was not the fact that--how unbelievable!–here was an insurance company that actually paid; it was the spirit in which it paid. We would send in a claim form on, say, a Monday; we would receive our check for the 80% (less the office visit) by Thursday, and then it would be three weeks before the charge even hit our credit card. The payments came with personalized notes from the company telling us how glad they were to be able to help us affordably sustain Madison’s life. (By the way, that eight months of treatment gave Madison, up until the very last day, quality time; she was a happy dog and her brother Bill continued to play with her and enjoy her company). To top it all off, in the middle of Madison’s chemotherapy, I discovered online a new experimental hormone therapy that was very expensive but held out the prospect of, perhaps, many, many more months, or even years, of quality life. I contacted the company and asked if they would pay for it. They said, in effect, “let us think about it.” Two days later I got an email that advised me that the treatment had been approved. Those experimental treatments cost about $4500; we paid $900 of the cost. And while I will never know how much more time those treatment

BUY A HEALTHY PAWS POLICY!!!!
Healthy Paws has gone above and beyond for our 4 year old Mastiff, Winston. When Winston tore his ACL and needed surgery, Healthy Paws was an absolute LIFE SAVER! They are always extremely nice and helpful on the phone, my claims (there have been many related to this injury) are ALWAYS processed within 24 hours (often less!) and I have received checks quickly for reimbursement. They have covered EVERYTHING related to this procedure with the exception of the vet fees, per their policy... They were even willing to reimburse us for a ramp for Winston to get into and out of the house easier! I CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY ENOUGH! As long as we have experiences like this, WE WILL BE HEALTHY PAWS CUSTOMERS FOR LIFE!!!

One bad Knee all better
My two + year old Newfee Required Surgery after she blew her knee. And the day after the procedure I filed my first Claim including Claims for all the pre op x-rays and vet visits. I didn't know what to expect... I thought there might be a number of excuses or reasons certain things wouldn't be covered. I couldn't be more wrong. Everything was paid according to my policy with no hassle. I was reimbursed within 10 days. I hope my dog doesn't need more surgeries, but I no longer stress about it. Thanks Healthy Paws

Great coverage, fantastic customer service
I went seeking for pet insurance after we got our precious Dalmatian puppy. We previously had a dalmatian that I did not have insurance on because I work at a animal hospital and with my employee discount never thought it was needed. That was until he had an injury that our Dictors could not repair. $18,000 later need I say more? Our hospital had always endorsed VPI pet insurance but when I decided to look for a policy I came across Healthy Paws. I liked the coverage and the deductible options they offered. Very little restrictions and what they do restrict I feel should not be an insurance company responsibility but the pet owner. The ease of claim submitting, the fast paying on claims and the customer service, I am completely satisfied with Healthy Paws!

Best Pet Insurance A++++++++++++
My dog Bo has had Healthy Paws for around 2 years now and had to have both of his knees operated on. Healthy Paws processed his claim quickly and I was reimbursed with in a week of his surgery. He would not of been able to have his surgery if it wasn't for Healthy Paws. Their customer service is outstanding and everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful.
