BEST pet insurance company out there

I recently sent an email (which I've cut and pasted below this review) to the folks at Healthy Paws and wanted to post it here too--along with more detailed feedback about Healthy Paws, because this is one of the best companies I've ever had the pleasure of giving business to--both within and outside of the pet insurance industry. To provide some background for anyone who is trying to make a decision about purchasing pet insurance (a daunting task, no doubt, once you really begin digging into the options), we previously had 24PetWatch for our Boxer (it was a short term insurance policy and we had it for about 2 months right after we adopted her from a local rescue organization). Initially, we thought about renewing the 24PetWatch policy but after dealing with their claims process, we decided to really start researching other companies closer to the time that the 24PetWatch policy expired. I am THRILLED that we did our homework and selected Healthy Paws, and I wish all companies operated like they do. Healthy Paws is, hands down, an absolute pleasure to work with. Since choosing Healthy Paws, we have unfortunately had the occasion to file two separate claims with them and each time, I was shocked by how easy the process was, how helpful the representatives were, and how genuinely concerned they seemed about our dog. I remarked to my husband that I really didn't think companies like this existed anymore--but I'm so glad they do. Their turnaround time on reimburseme

Why I chose Healthy Paws Pet Insurance

We have four Scottish Deerhounds in our household. Our oldest is Hanna who had her left hind leg amputated (due to osteosarcoma) this past November. She tolerated that procedure quite well. She has had three Carboplatin treatments, then Palladia for the next few months. Although she could not be included, the costs associated with her diagnosis and treatment caused me to see about pet insurance for the others. I evaluated ten pet insurance programs and selected Healthy Paws for its comprehensive coverage and because others ranked them at the very top. Hanna’s ordeal prompted me to enroll the other three in your insurance program. Although I certainly had no intention of "testing" that evaluation with any of our dogs, we are now so very glad to be a part of Healthy Paws because: On February 12th GCH DC Altnamara’s Cappuccino SC (aka Chino) was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in his right hind leg. His best option, at age five and a half, was amputation followed by chemotherapy. His recovery is progressing and his future looks promising. Based on our most recent experience, I offer the following observations about Healthy Paws Pet Insurance: They: • are very accessible and very polite, • are clear about what they need in order to process claims, • are very prompt in processing those claims, • do what they said they would do when we signed up – in other words “no bait and switch” , AND • Customer Service is exceptional (rated 10)! For all of their lives ou

Excellent Service from Healthy Paws!

I researched several insurance companies before choosing Healthy Paws and mainly chose this one because of the coverage for the price as well as the great reviews from other happy customers. I had to take advantage of the coverage only a month after getting the policy due to my dog's apparent fondness for poisonous mushrooms found in our yard. Teddy spent two days at the vet, including monitoring his condition, blood tests and replenishing his fluids needed for dehydration. Fortunately he is recovering nicely. It was such a relief to be able to authorize treatment knowing much of the cost would be covered by insurance. The claims process was simple and quick. I will definitely recommend Healthy Paws to all my friends with pets.

Best decision we made for our dog

Buying this policy from Healthy Paws for our dog Brooklyn when she was a puppy was one of the best decisions we ever made. And Healthy Paws is just about the best company we’ve ever worked with. A few months after we bought the policy, Brooklyn was diagnosed with cancer. Now, after a year and a half of treatment for malignant mast cell tumors, her doctor has essentially declared her cancer free. With the support of Healthy Paws – who was always responsive to our needs, easy to communicate with, and fulfilled every requirement of the insurance agreement – we were able to navigate what otherwise would have been a burdensome and expensive treatment program for Brooklyn. Thank you, Healthy Paws. She couldn’t have done this without you.

Glad I Did My Homework

Upon adopting a rescue dog I decided to shop for insurance. After some googling and reading reviews on several Insurance companies, I settled on Healthy Paws. Very glad I did!!I have both my dog and cat insured. I have turned in several claims on my dog and 1 on my cat so far. In every instance I received notice via email as soon as HP received the fax from the vet or myself depending on circumstance. Usually the same day I was informed via email that the claim was processed and I was provided with a PDF file to look at online or print out showing what was covered and what was not covered.. usually just the exam fee was not covered which is standard.. and best of all my 90% refund check arrived within 1 week. doesn't get any better than that!!
