Lies

Hello, I would not recommend Healthy Paws pet insurance. I had read their policy and also called to ask questions if certain conditions were covered. Their reps told me things like ear infections, etc. were covered, but now that I am putting in a claim for a facial fold infection they are denying it saying it is due to allergies. They also say that since my dog is overweight they won't cover things related to that. Well, they can link most things to being overweight so basically I have not coverage for my dog that I have been paying premiums on for years now.

Super fast service, no haggling

We have been very pleased with our service. Reimbursement was surprisingly fast and the amount reimbursed was exactly as expected and quite fair. The staff at Healthy Paws has always been very quick to answer our questions. They respond to emails and answer the phones. You get to correspond with real people that care about what they are doing (i.e. its not some terrible call center where you get shuffled around and hung up on). They also seemed to really be concerned about our dog and were very warm in sending love his way. I would highly recommend Healthy Paws to any pet owner. If only human health insurance was this well run!

Quick Processing for Surgery Reimbursement

My collie/lab mix of 1.5 years of age had recently been diagnosed with a Medial Patellar Luxation of the back right knee. Puppy had the procedure done and has since been on the successful road to recovery! She's scheduled to have her stitches in the coming week and more importantly (to her), she will no longer have to wear the dreaded "cone of shame." About a week after the procedure, I had gathered all the paperwork necessary and emailed it over to Healthy Paws for processing and amazingly they had emailed me back within two hours indicating that the explanations of benefits was available and that the reimbursement was on its way. The follow-up on the puppy's health status was appreciated as well. Thank you, Healthy Paws, for helping to keep my puppy in good health!

With Healthy Paws coverage, I'm not alone.

My wife and I are the proud parents of 3 beautiful angels that happen to be Chihuahua's. The oldest is 10 , our boy is 4 and our youngest is 3. We decided about a year ago we were going to insure our angels. "Researching" doesn't even begin to describe what we did while trying to find an insurer. Most companies were automatically excluded from eligibility because they would not insure our oldest- the 10 year old female- in perfect health. After coming up with 3 possible choices that would meet our needs, it was reviews like this one that helped me decide. My wife and I chose Healthy Paws and we have no regrets whatsoever. Our youngest, a tiny sweet angel named Cabiria, recently had a really crazy tug-of-war with another dog and a rope toy. This was highly unlike her, but we let it slide. The next day- she wasn't herself- it seemed like she was in pain. She wasn't eating and her normal jovial energy was non-existent. We took her to our vet where we learned the bad news. Cabiria needed 4 to 6 teeth removed immediately. The tug-of-war declared war on her mouth. We were advised not to wait. Naturally, we immediately went ahead with surgery. Cabiria needed anesthesia as well as extra special care. We only trust one vet in manhattan to touch our dogs so going to an "insurer approved" provider was out of the question. What I really want to report here is that almost immediately the claim was processed and approved .Through the process of approving the claim , my wife and I rec
