So Thankful for Healthy Paws

Healthy Paws once again saved us financially and allowed us to get the best treatment for our puppy. Lexie had a horrible case of hemmorhagic gastroenteritis and IBD. She had to be hospitalized for several days as well under go testing and exploratory surgery. The bill was close to $6k and hp sent our check for almost $5200 in less than a week. I was so thankful to be able to do what needed to be done to save my dogs life and get to the bottom of what was going on without having to go into serious debt. You hope you never have to use the insurance, but if something serious happens to your dog it is a life saver. I have used other pet insurance companies with some other dogs over the years but I decided to go with healthy paws when we got the puppy because of all the good reviews. I am so thankful I did. Healthy paws is so much better than their competition. They have no limits to payouts and the claims/reimbursement process is so simple and fast. They process your claim in usually 24 hours and you get the check within a week. Absolutely no hassles. I've actually had to appeal claims with the other pet insurance when they tried to get out of paying using their loopholes. There are no loop holes with healthy paws. You pick your deductible and payout percentage. Once your annual deductible is met they pay the percentage agreed upon minus the office visit, special food, and routine care costs (ex. Vacines). All testing, treatments, medications etc...are

I have a 9 yr old Shitzu and she had a ptoblem stanting up. I took her to the vet hosspital and they xrayed her back legs and done some othet tests released her.Todat she is fine. I turned in the bill to Healthy Paws and now they wand a copy of an examin that she had done 3yes ago. I told them I do not live in the area and do not remembe the facility. They said that if I do not get the copy of the exam They will not pay for this bill. Alss thet do not cover the office visit even in the hospital. I cancelled my policy. They are nothing but a Rip Off.

Fast, Great Service

My dog had to go to the emergency for severe diarrhea with blood and major dehydration (as we found out). He had to stay overnight and after the whole ordeal his bill came out to over $1400. Just for diarrhea!! Healthy Paws paid me over $1100 of that back (they took off the $100 deductible, examination fee, and they took take of 90% of the rest of the bill). I was calm during the whole incident because I new I was covered by Healthy Paws. I would never have another pet with out insurance. I had to pay over $3,000 (before insurance) for pneumonia when I first got my pet and never again!

Healthy Paws Pet Scam I would say...

They do not provide the services that the claim. Instead of helping me with any of my $500 worth of animal related expenses, they instead increased my expenses by $20 per month per animal. So since October, I have paid Health Paws roughly $320. However, they only cover about 1/4 of what they say they do. The whole point of insurance is to get help in case your animal gets sick. So, for my cat that needed veterinary services, I have paid $160 thus far. He has bills of $500. 80% would be $400. After my $250 deductible, this would actually help me. However, they play very unfair games. The have my $160 (plus $160 for the other, healthy cat) and they finagle the numbers so that the covered percentage of $500 is somehow only $133.32. So it doesn't even begin to offset my deductible. Therefore, instead of helping at all, my $500 of expenses on Remy has become $660. Thanks healthy paws!

Healthy Paws is the best,

Our one year old Golden Retriever became very lethargic and seemed to be in pain. After numerous tests they could not find any thing serious. He came home with meds and slowly came back to normal. Healthy Paws handled my first time claim within a week and a few days later I had a check. They also via e-mails seemed to really care about Maxie. They were a pleasure to deal with and I would highly recommend them.
