So glad I have Healthy Paws for my babies!

I am the proud pet parent of two dogs: a Chihuahua named Bella and Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound mix named Beau. I purchased Healthy Paws insurance for them back in November 2010. Until recently, I was fortunate enough never to have needed the insurance but paid my monthly premiums religiously just in case. About a month ago, Beau began vomiting, stopped eating, and became extremely jaundiced and lethargic. Being a nurse, I knew how serious it was and took him to an emergency animal hospital. He ended up needing to be hospitalized for about a week for cholangiohepatitis. He required intravenous fluids and medications as well as multiple blood tests. There were times that I didn't think he wasn't going to make it but knew that, because I had Healthy Paws insurance, I could afford to do whatever was necessary to save his life. Thankfully, Beau got better and is back to his normal, energetic self. The whole ordeal cost about $7,500, which would have definitely caused a financial hardship had I not had insurance. Healthy Paws not only mailed out my reimbursement checks within a week of my claims being submitted online, but they also e-mailed me to just check and see how Beau was doing. The best thing about Healthy Paws is that they have unlimited benefits! If you love your pets and consider them part of the family like I do, please consider purchasing Healthy Paws insurance for them. Hopefully, you will never need it, but trust me, you will be thankful if you ever do.

Best in Class

Like others, I spoke to my Vet and reviewed this site prior to signing up with Healthy Paws. Since that time 1 year ago, my Vet has submitted 2 claims on my behalf, each of which was processed and paid within a very short time, about 1 week. And they email me to tell me where they are in the review process. They also refer to Hudson by name and follow up via email. I've spoken to customer service and they seemed to legitimately care about animals. I'm happy with my decision on having chosen Healthy Paws...

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance is totally awesome!!!

A couple of weeks ago, my Toby injured his back jumping on or off furniture. When first going to our vet, Toby was diagnosed with a herniated disc and was being treated with meds. Four days later, Toby's condition had worsened and brought him to an emergency pet clinic. The herniated disc has now ruptured and had surgery that day. I had gotten pet insurance almost one year to the date before I unfortunately needed to make a claim. Healthy Paws claim form was easy to obtain from their website and very simple to fill out and then submit the form via fax or mail. Within 2 days I received an email from Healthy Paws on the progress of the claim. Within 4 days I received an email stating the claim was completed and in that email is a link that brings you to the breakdown of claim! I am extremely satisfied with the entire process! Awesome...totally awesome!

After Much Research I Picked Healthy Paws

I have 3 cats and initially went with a different company that made big promises to get me hooked. After a year they doubled the premiums. Did the same thing with my mom's dog. I immediately switch to Healthy Paws after doing extensive research and talking with them. They have no caps and the deductible is once a year. They are more than an insurance company. They have a foundation to help other animals in need. I cannot speak highly enough of Healthy Paws!
