So Disappointed! I read all the reviews both personal…
I read all the reviews both personal and business ratings by companies such as Forbes. What a surprise it was to make my first claim in almost four years for my dog and get the “ run around”. I made the claim the middle of June and was assured that this claim would be reviewed by this past Wednesday- 7/ 20/23. Several phone calls and faxes prior to this have been made. Today is Thursday and of course no response to have this claim settled has been offered. (all necessary paperwork has been sent twice ) My payments have been made on time ( drawn from a credit card) and I expect service to live up to their commitment ( usually 2-3 days processing time per their website). I have no recourse but to warn others of the false claims Healthy Paws makes. I am retired and I chose this policy so that I would not have to “ worry” about giving my dog the best care possible even with my being on a limited budget. I wanted that reassurance of a healthcare plan that would take care of my “ loved “ friend if unexpected occurrences happened. I have not received that help or assistance Please be warned and look at other policies . Our “ furry” friends deserve better!! I’m hoping that these comments will be published.

Marcela, As per the policy we do require full medical records for all enrolled pets in order to process claims. Once full records are received (typically we ask for them when you file your first few claims) we will keep them on file for future claims processing and you will never have to submit full records again. In the future, if we do need clarification for a specific claim, we may simply request the date of service exam notes for that visit. We appreciate your efforts in providing those records. Your recent claim was covered in its entirety with the exception of the exam fee, which are excluded by your plan. Covered items were applied towards your chosen deductible. As with any plan that has an annual deductible, that must be satisfied before any reimbursements can occur. The Healthy Paws Team
