Our 4 year old dog recently injured her…

Our 4 year old dog recently injured her leg and had to have surgery. From her emergency room visit to her surgery the claim process through Healthy Paws was quick and easy. I just photocopied the receipts from those visits and submitted them through the app. I received my payment a week after I submitted my claim. The ease of the process allowed us to focus on our dogs recovery and not worry about the insurance process. I only wish our healthcare coverage was as efficient!

Best Customer Service Experience

This was my first time having to file a claim and unfortunately I had to take my little guy twice in one week to the vet. Talk about a big bill. Healthy Paws made the process super easy from beginning to end. Afterwords they even reached out to see how my feline friend was doing. Great customer service!

Excellent Service

Customer service reps are knowledgeable, compassionate and extremely patient. The claims process was easy and turnaround very quick. The explanation of benefits and reimbursement amounts correlate exactly to my expectations based on my policy description. Very happy with this service!

Beware of Increaseing Premiums

Beware. Healthy Paws raises my premiums every year. Unfortunately, they know how difficult it is for you to get a policy with another company because of pre existing conditions.

Very dissatisfied

We have been satisfied with this company until last year. Since the Summer of 2022 the insurance has not reimbursed us for any veterinary/emergency visits for our beagle. They don’t reply anymore to the phone, you cannot leave a message, and whenever I wrote to them the past 8 months I got an automatic reply, see below: Hello, Thank you for your email. We’ll review your claims submission and contact you shortly. Please visit us online for Frequently Asked Questions and answers about the policy at www.healthypaws.com/frequent-questions. Very upsetting Are they bankrupted?? No idea

Catherine, We truly appreciate you being part of the Healthy Paws family for over 12 years. We're sorry that your recent customer service experience did not meet your or our expectations. In regards to your claims, your 2022 claim was not eligible for coverage under the behavioral exclusion in your plan. Your other claims were either processed/covered and applied to your deductible or denied since they were for a condition that was noted as being pre-existing prior to your enrollment or during the plan waiting period. We do our best to be transparent throughout our website, during the enrollment process and in the plan documents available to each client in their online Healthy Paws account regarding the limited exclusions of our plan. Those exclusions are pre-existing conditions, preventative/routine care and the office visit fee (vet exam, emergency exam, recheck or consultation). Anyone visiting our website can see this information on our “Benefits, Coverage and Exclusions” page.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits
