When Sitka started holding her leg up, I was certain she was going to need knee surgery. Imagine my heartache when the surgeon discovered a large tumor rather than a blown knee. Certain specifics about the tumor lead the doctor to believe it may not be the primary source. An ultrasound confirmed there was another mass in her adrenal gland. I was crushed. We tried treating the leg tumor with various forms of chemo, but it continued to grow. After 8 months we made the difficult decision to amputate. The pathology of the tumor came back as being a relatively rare form of bone cancer that tends not to be aggressive. That leads the doctors to believe that perhaps the mass in her gland is benign. Fingers-crossed little Sitka will prove to be cancer-free and live a long life as a tripod.I will never again have a pet without insurance, and Healthy Paws has covered $7,000 plus in just my first year of their service.

Recently my precious Chihuahua, Toby, had a terrible accident and broke his leg. It was a severe break and required a difficult orthopedic surgery with a plate and six screws to repair his tiny bones. I was terribly worried about him and would do anything in the world to help my little love bug get back to health. As a matter of fact, I submitted a claim yesterday via the mobile app (which is absolutely awesome) after leaving the vet for a treatment and got confirmation today that the claim is fully processed and my reimbursement is on its way! The staff at Healthy Paws is fantastic!!! They are very helpful, caring and just really great people to work with. They even follow up with you to check on your pet to see how things are going. I can't say enough positive things about this pet insurance. I did my homework and was pretty sure I selected the best pet insurance for Toby, but they have confirmed my decision 10 times over. I am extremely happy with Healthy Paws and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for pet insurance for their furry loved one... It's the best one out there.

Justice required major emergency abdominal surgery. This was the first time I've had to use the insurance so I was a little worried about the turn around for reimbursement. I was also nervous about whether the insurance would really cover all of The costs. I was pleasantly surprised. I've had Healthy Paws pet insurance for both of my dogs for about 4 years now and have had to make a few relative small claims. They respond quickly and make payments promptly, and if I have a question the people I speak with on the phone are knowledgeable and kind. Recently one of my dogs had a serious problem that caused her to be hospitalized for 4 days. Healthy Paws processed her claim in two days and I had the reimbursement check within five. A week later I received a thoughtful email asking how my pet was doing. I don't think an insurance company can get any better than that!
