Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Healthy Paws has been a life saver in helping to provide the care that my adopted pit/lab mix has needed. I researched all the pet insurance companies out there and by far, Healthy Paws is the best one. Its affordable, the claims are easy, and there are no hidden agendas. Because of Healthy Paws, I was able to provide my loving pit mix with the surgery ne needed. They truely care about making sure your pets gets the care that they need. Three years ago, we were devastated by the loss of our cat to lymphoma. Despite all the tests and treatments, he lived only a week after the diagnosis. We spent roughly $1,000 per day over that week, all coming out of our own pockets because we had no pet insurance. We vowed never to get into that situation again with our new cats, Bailey and Sophie. After a couple of weeks researching insurance options and reading reviews, we decided that Healthy Paws would offer the best combination of bang for the buck and outstanding customer service. So we signed on, and are we glad we did. Unbelievably, yet again we find ourselves with a kitty who has a blood-borne cancer: in this case, Bailey, who has been diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. After we satisfied our $500 deductible earlier this year, we've paid only 20% of the cost of his diagnostic tests and treatment, including chemo. Incredibly, Healthy Paws even reimburses us for the sales tax levied on the chemo! Unlike many other insurers, Healthy Paws has no ceiling on annual or even lifetime expenditures, which is a relief for folks like us who have chronically ill animals. The staff could not be more sympathetic or helpful. Plus the reimbursement checks are issued very quickly after we upload our receipts to Healthy Paws. Great insurance, great employees.

My cat Cheerio had his spleen removed two years ago. He became more prone to sickness without his spleen. Healthy Paws insurance paid for his care as promised in the policy without any hassle. They also sent emails to ask how Cheerio was doing. Last year I submitted a claim with few invoices on them. They noticed I did not cash one of the checks so they sent me an email asking if I received it or not, and whether they should issue me a new check. I would highly recommend Heathy Paws to any pet owners.

My dog broke a tooth and it had to be extracted. The Healthy Paws insurance company processed our emailed claim within a week and immediately mailed us an appropriate benefit check.

We are SO glad we have this incredible insurance for our German Shepherd. His medical bills have been insanely expensive and we would have never been able to afford his exams and medication without Healthy Paws!
