Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Our dog was very sick and had to spend the night at the emergency clinic for treatment. We were never able to find out whether it was a toxin or a rogue virus. The vet bill was high, but Healthy Paws came through for us with 80% of the cost within a week of filing our claim. Also, I love being able to submit claims on-line. the process was flawless.

Thank you so much Healthy Paws for being there. You have the best customer service, respond quickly to questions and billing. You do everything you advertise and more. I have heard horror stories about other pet insurance companies. You came through for me and my Charlie with zero hassles. My Charlie was deathly sick and had to be hospitalized for three days with IV antibiotics and IV fluids. Did not think he was going to pull through. It was such a relief that I did not have to worry about high costs in medical bills. I wish everyone had their pet insurance through Healthy Paws. Thank you a million times over and for checking up on Charlie after the ordeal was over....that is real customer service!!!!

Healthy Paws is unparalleled pet insurance. My youngest pug, Bojangles "Bo" just had to have extensive surgery and polyups were discovered during the surgery. I swallowed hard at the surgical estimate, but from past experience (yes this is not the 1st time) I was able to say take care of my "Bo", I have Healthy Paws Insurance. Once the surgery was over all I needed to do was submit my claim and the Vet/Surgeon clinical notes (Healthy Paws already had "Bo's" health history) and within 3 days I had a note on the amount covered and my check within 5 days. I filed my claim on line, the only thing that could make it easier is if they offered direct deposit of the claim check. About a week later they follow up to make sure all is good and to see how you and your pet are doing. Everyone that works there must be required to love animals.

After a lot of research I decided to insure my cat with Healthy Paws. I've had to take my cat to the vet for minor illness and received a reimbursement check quickly. Customer Service is excellent. However, I learned the hard way...if you are already at the lowest deductible and highest reimbursement % and decide to lower your monthly premium by increasing the deductible and reducing the reimbursement you will not be able to go back to having the lowest deductible and highest reimbursement as long as you have a claim. They will let you increase the deductible and reduce the reimbursement until you are at the highest deductible and lowest reimbursement even if you have a claim...you just won't be able to go back to reducing the deductible and increasing the reimbursement.

My dog suffered complete cranial cruciate ligament rupture and had to have surgery to repair her knee. On the day the vet hospital submitted the paperwork for the claim, I received an email from the company telling me that the claim was being processed. The next day I was told the check was in the mail. I was amazed at how quickly my claim was handled. I want to add that every time I have communicated with the company, they have been friendly and caring. I have great confidence in them.
