Worth It Pet Insurance

We decided to have both our rescue dogs insured under Healthy Paws based on the annual deductible, benefits and coverage they offer. Our older dog has been insured since 2011 while the younger dog since 2014. The application process was very straightforward. 2014 has been an "eventful" year for our older dog, Bradford. He was presenting unusual symptoms of incontinence and had undergone several diagnostic tests. Bradford was diagnosed with diabetes insipidus and is now on daily medication which can be quite expensive. Healthy Paws covered what was stated in our policy - $100.00 annual deductible and 90% reimbursements for diagnostics, treatments, medications, etc. except for exams/consultations. In addition, Bradford was hospitalized around Thanksgiving for an infection. We were so glad we had pet insurance to help with the vet expenses. It definitely says something when your vet tells you that we've become one of their "top clients" based on the frequency that we have taken Bradford to the vet. We were hoping that 2015 would be a better and more healthy year but on Bradford's birthday, we rushed him to the emergency clinic to undergo surgery for GDV. The cost of the surgery was over $6,000++. Having pet insurance has made it manageable and affordable for us to save Bradford from a life-threatening condition. As always, their claims process is very expedient and reimbursement checks are received in the mail within 10 business days. Healthy Paws has made it a very easy and worry-free experience for us to give our dogs the proper medical care. Definitely worth it!

I highly recommend Healthy Paws!

I've been with Healthy Paws for about 2 years now. In that time my dachshund has required two major spinal surgeries than ran me into the thousands each time. Healthy Paws has always been fast to cut me refunds quickly and with no hassle. They won't cover pre-existing conditions, but I researched other pet insurance policies and none of them do. At first you must have your vet submit all of your pets medical records, but after that filing a claim is a piece of cake, it can all be done online, which makes is easier and faster.

Better than my health insurance company!

I have two dogs: a german shepherd & a lab. They will be a year old this month. My lab is very much a typical lab: curious & clumsy. In the past year she's eaten the Christmas tree, half of a chocolate cake, and split her ear in half while playing outside. Without my healthy paws pet insurance I'd still be paying off her vet bills. My german shepherd isn't clumsy but he is more likely to get sick. Both he and the lab had mites which required medication with a pretty hefty price tag. The scariest vet visit we've had so far was (two) emergency trip/ to the vet that ended with two overnight stays. My shepherd was diagnosed with pnemonia with a dangerously high fever. The lab had a mild version of the same illness-an upper respiratory infection without pnemonia. They've had several rounds of antibiotics, cough medicine, nose spray, nebulizers, and of course the ever expensive hospital stay. Healthy paws has been amazing. I send a picture of my invoice and within days i have a reimbursement check. Through these past few weeks alone our bills would have totaled over 3,000 dollars. Thanks to healthy paws we're only paying about 500. Every pet parent should have healthy paws--thanks to them I can sleep at night knowing my babies are covered! I did a lot of research before purchasing and healthy paws lives up to their reputation 110%, they even email to check in on how my dogs were doing after their recent illness! I would never went to be faced with a decision between the best care for my pet and my wallet. Luckily with healthy paws I don't have to.

Best Insurance Program Around

We have had insurance through Healthy Paws for our dog for a little over 2 years now and I could not have asked for a better insurance company. Not only did they accept our dog, who was a senior at the time of enrollment, at a very low premium, but they have never given us a hassle on any claims submitted. Our dog has been to vet over 15 times in the past 2 years for UTIs and other urinary issues and we have never had a claim denied. They are very quick with processing claims and have great/ friendly customer service reps. There are no limitations on cumulative claims, which has been a life saver for us. Thanks Healthy Paws!
