Healthy Paws is terrific!

I have had Healthy Paws insurance for my dog Oscar (12 y.o.) for many years and now my puppy Bella (1y.o.). Whenever they have a problem which warrants a vet's attention Healthy Paws promptly and fairly reacts to my claim. It is so comforting to know that Healthy Paws is there for me whenever I need them!

Healthy Paws is one of the best things I ever did!

Did a lot of research on Pet insurance when I first started looking into it. Healthy Paws was always near the top. I choose to go with Healthy Paws because of their history of quick claims service and they did not disappoint! I have been a member of two 80lb. dogs for about a year and a half and I could not be happier. During that time my Rottweiler mix has had issues with his ACL in both legs and the meniscus in one as well. All total about $8,400 in surgery and Healthy Paws never questioned any part of it. I typically have my reimbursement check within a couple days of submitting the paperwork. I tell everybody that I ever talk to that has their own pets about Healthy Paws. I could not be happier with them. Its good to know that there are still good companies out there that a person can trust will do what they say they will and not drop you or raise your rates through the roof because if accidents that you can not prevent. My Dogs, 5 year old Chopper and 4 year old Montana will be covered by Healthy Paws for life!!!

Best choice after reviewing top 6 in depth

We added French Bulldog to our family after much consideration and knowing the health issues of the breed. Upon joining several Facebook Frenchie groups, it became clear that Pet Insurance might be something to consider. It was also clear that locking it down before they have problems was wise, owing to the pre-existing conditions clause which is common in all plans. It was a hard sell for my husband...I'm not going to lie. We took quite a bit of teasing about our 'Dog Insurance', but having a pet-centric professional background, I know how much vet bills, can cost...not just for the one treatment, but for ongoing conditions. I researched like a mad woman, talked with several vets and got estimated costs for 'Bull-breed' problems like allergies or back surgeries, even made a graph and pro/con list....is there anything I won't do for this dog? I despise research!! I checked out and called the top 6 companies and in the end, chose Healthy Paws. Their customer service and App that allows you to snap a photo of the bill and submit from your phone (because who has time for paperwork and scanning) put them 1st for me. I liked choosing my coverage and deductible...which is yearly, not each visit...watch out! And while they don't cover the actual office visit, they cover everything else. We decided on the 90% coverage for about $42 monthly. It was not the cheapest, but it was the most comprehensive in case of emergencies for the price. If he ever has anything major...allergies, surgery, accident in his lifetime, the accumulated cost of the yearly deductibles and monthly fees will have paid for itself. Even my husband admitted it. We insured him shortly before his 1st birthday and hadn't even made a claim until almost one year in. Flapjack is a healthy boy, thankfully. But a few months ago he had a tummy issue....half the deductible met. Next was an eye infection...deductible almost met...then...Xmas Eve ( of course it's at Christmas!) he breaks out in sores and I freak out....Vet visit, lab tests, skin scrapes....Ugh. I didn't have to think about it...Insurance. I submitted the nearly $600 bill and crossed my fingers. Not only did they review and process my claim in 24 hours, I had a check within the week. We are now officially ahead financially for the year with the insurance than we would have been out of pocket. I am happy and impressed with every customer service person I have dealt with and with their overall operation. In my opinion a great value fo

As a veterinarian and the mother of a spoiled dog, I can't recommend enough the value of Healthy Paws. I've seen it help my clients and patients through some potentially difficult times, and as a dog owner it helped me when I needed the help the most. I've researched and compared numerous pet insurance companies, and Healthy Paws is the best for value, customer service, and satisfaction amongst my clients and myself. Saved my dog

Had a puppy get hit by car, left for dead, and picked up by good samaritan. Was close to putting him down, though he is young and strong, and could tell he wanted a shot at life. ER visit for weekend, followed by day in regular vet, followed by 24/7 weeklong ER stay. As you can imagine, my bills were more than I could have imagined. Would call Healthy Paws to make sure he was covered, with their response, "take care of your dog." Some of the nicest representatives, claims were easy, filled out as I went form doctor to doctor, and was reimbursed within about 10 days. Wish I never needed insurance for an accident like this, but thank god I did, and they are great.
