Thank God for Healthy Paws!

This was my first experience with pet insurance and after research I got Healthy Paws for my ~18 month old rescue dog at the suggestion of our groomer. She said that young pit mixes as active as our Ted could run the risk of an ACL. So in my mind I did the math and was like hey, the premiums for about 10 years may cover an ACL but lord only knows if I would have the $$ at the time of any injury. Well, who would ever image a dog, now 3ish, would have a brain cyst. He started having balance issues, and after our vet ruled out inner ear infection it was off to the neurologist for an exam, then an MRI and finally, thanks to heathly paws, we decided to try the brain surgery. Ted is re-cooperating well and health paws processed all the claims we submitted in less than 48 hours from when we submitted them. Note: this event cost was about $12,000 and healthy paws paid almost $9,500. I'll never have any other pet, dog or cat, without healthy paws. P.S. the people are super nice too. They ask how Ted is doing when you call and they even send follow up emails P.S.S if you need a specialist in the Philadelphia area we used CARES in Langhorne and they were excellent

Fantastic support!

Our five year old Australian Shepherd had to have x-rays for a knee injury and although she didn't require surgery for her knee, it was discovered while looking at her x-rays that she had bladder stones. She had surgery to remove them and is recovering well. It was very stressful, but it was an immense relief to know that most of her medical bills would be covered by Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. Never having used it before I wasn't sure what our experience would be. We were surprised by the ease of filing claims and impressed with the level of care and professionalism provided by Healthy Paw representatives. I highly recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for anyone considering pet insurance.

We will insure our furbaby with no one else!

This April, Khan was diagnosed with an eye ulcer that just would not leave. After multiple vet visits, he was finally given a clean bill of health, but the ulcer came back much worse than before. Less than 14 hours after the 2nd ulcer was found, his eye ruptured. We had to rush him to the ER vet at 1 AM and pray that they could save his eye. They were able to keep him stable until the eye surgeon was available, and they operated first thing in the morning. The surgery was successful, and Khan is currently recuperating nicely, and there is a good chance that he will have at least partial vision in the eye. Again, we couldn't have afforded to save his eye without Healthy Paws- the total bill was approximately $3800, and our portion, after reimbursement, was only $500. In addition, the 7 different claims have all been processed within 3 business days, and we've always gotten them within a week. No waiting months! The phone reps are always incredibly kind also, and they always email to check up on him. Khan will never be insured with anyone else!

Healthy Paws is always there for you.

Our 2 year old Great Dane, Gunnar, recently wasn't feeling very well and didn't want to eat. When he did finally eat something he ended up vomiting. Concerned, we took him to our Vet were they did blood work and decided to take X-rays. They saw what they thought might be a blockage in the small intestine but weren't sure. They gave us some antibiotics and told us to keep an eye on him and if he got worse to call them back. Not wanting to take chances, we had our Vet get us an immediate appointment with a Specialist in Tampa, where they did an ultrasound to check the possible blockage. It turned out not to be a blockage and told us to proceed with the antibiotics for a intestinal infection. Upon arriving home, we used the Healthy Paws phone app to submit a copy of the bills from both Veterinarian facilities for submittal. By the next morning, we received an email letting us know that the claims were in process and later that day we received another email that the check was being sent out. We are so pleased with not only the speed to which the claims are processed, but also by the genuine concern that Healthy Paws has for its clients. They always make it a point to check back within days to see how your loved one (pet) is doing. We recently brought into our lives a new Great Dane puppy, and we have already added him into our Healthy Paws account. You always hope that you never have to use your Healthy Paws Pet Insurance, but knowing that they are there for you when you need them is definitely reassuring.
