I am hugely grateful for Healthy Paws. Fenway, my almost 2 year old dog means the world to me, and he's super active. Active enough that he broke his tooth! If I hadn't had insurance, I would have been forced to have the tooth pulled. Instead, I was able to go for the costlier, but way better procedure to have him get a root canal. Now my 2 year old dog can keep that tooth for hopefully the rest of his life, and I could afford to make the best health care decision for him. Even more, I wasn't worried about cost or money, I was able to focus on the surgery and my dog instead of financial things. Then, after his surgery, I got an email from them checking in on him! So amazing!Not to mention they had my claim processed by the morning after I had submitted it, even with a hefty bill.

Broken tooth
Who knew a broken tooth would cost $1900? Luckily we have pet insurance. Without Healthy Paws, we would've been in a world of hurt. We are extremely pleased we have signed up for this program and Mazie bear enjoys excellent health care coverage. Also, unlike some providers, healthy pause reimbursed us at a very reasonable rate.

Best Pet Insurance Aroudn
I have used several pet insurance companies over the years for previous pets we've had, and I only recently learned about Healthy Paws. They had strong ratings and good word of mouth reputation, so I gave them a try with our new puppy. He had a couple unexpected issues pop-up simultaneously (a stomach bug, a skin infection, and also a muscle strain/sprain), and we were able to easily file all of his claims and clearly read the explanations of benefits from Healthy Paws. Their lightning fast claims review (sometimes the same day) and super prompt reimbursements have been much appreciated.The process is super easy w/ their mobile phone app, and they follow their contract policy to the letter. I think their premiums are fair and reasonable as well.

Healthy Paws is a Life Saver!!! Don't Hesitate!
Our 4 month old Golden Doodle "Chompx" suffered kidney failure. He was hospitalized in ICU for 2 weeks before being transferred to UF for dialysis. The bill was approximately $18k. Within hours of his discharge from the first hospital I had an email from Healthy Paws closing out the claim and confirming that a check for 90% - our deductible was on the way. Throughout this process, HP has checked in on Chompx, and shown genuine concern for our little man. When we were first told he was to be hospitalized, HP offered support and told us just to focus on Chompx. That was such a relief. I expected there would be issues with reimbursement, that seems to be the issue with all insurance companies.. there was no issue, no fuss, no drama. I had the reimbursement check within days! Afterwards, they emailed to check on Chompx as well. Throughout this nightmare, they have shown genuine concern for Chompx and they have taken the biggest burden off our minds as we focus on Chompx's recovery. Simple, flawless, expedited reimbursement for your pet's medical needs. Finally a pet insurance that actually does what it says. I've never had a dog with any serious medical issue such as this, I never thought I'd need this, but I am so glad we had it. I will never risk being without Healthy Paws pet insurance again, because no matter how careful you are, anything can happen. Throughout our crisis with Chompx (over 5 weeks in ICU) we've seen countless owners forced to make the ultimate sacrifice with their beloved pets simply because of finances. It's been heartbreaking to see this happen over and over again. Whatever the end result is with Chompx (still ongoing) we know that because of Healthy Paws, we have been able to provide the very best possible outcome for him and that every measure has been taken to give him a chance for a full recovery. Without this policy, our hands would have been forced long ago. If you love your pet, get the insurance. Don't wait.
After Flicker ( our Doxie / terrier mix ) sprained his ankle in an accident , Healthy Paws took care of all claims filed in a timely and " no hassle " manner ! We would have been swimming in debt without this insurance administered by friendly and professional animal lovers like us !

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more.
You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.
Deductible
You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750*
*Choice depends on age of the pet
Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
