Claims are quickly paid and fair
I started to search for a pet insurance company a fews days after we brought Daphne, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, home from her breeder. This was just in case she ever needed serious medical care. Then a few months before Daphne turned 2, she needed brain surgery for Chiari Malformation and SM, a neurological condition. We didn't hesitate to find the best care for Daphne because of our Healthy Paws insurance coverage. They made it possible for us to afford her specialized care. Any claim we have submitted has been quickly settled. Thank You Healthy Paws!

I will always have Healthy Paws Ins for any dogs!
Dixie is kennel for 4 hours a day because of my husband and my work schedules. However, one day when we got home she had diarrhea in her kennel. We watched her for the following days and took it easy on feeding her. She seemed back to her normal self Saturday night but Sunday morning that changed. I woke up to her laid up again the wall whining. I then had to help her get up and get back to her bed. I went back to bed for an hour or so and heard her whining again, but this time when I went to check on her should couldn't even walk/stand up. We immediately took her into the ER vet. My husband was raised with hunting dogs and the thought of if they don't serve a purpose they are useless. However, I was raised with dogs being a family member. It was great knowing we had insurance and only would need to cover 20% of her care (and I would probably do anything to have her normal and back in the house). Our initial estimate was over $1400 but both my husband and I were alright with this number because we had health insurance on her. We filed her claim the following weekend and once Healthy Paws received all (three different vets because we have to move a lot) her previous health docs, it took 3 days to get the email letting me know our claim was settled and a check was on the way! There is no hesitation in going to the ER vet because we know we have great insurance on her!

Amazing
Such a great insurance company. All claims were updated quickly and this is a company that actually cares for your pets wellbeing. My French bulldog puppy had to go through surgery and it was a very tough experience. The bills came and they were very high. Healthy Paws in less than a week covered them and issued a check. I would recommend this insurance company to anyone.

They are the the best! I love them!
I've had them for over 5 years now and they've paid out about $20,000 in claims for my dog.
My old Great Dane-Rottweiler mix is...danger prone. He just seems to develop issues. They've paid to fix tears, gastro issues, ultra sounds to explore his sudden neurological issues, physical therapy, all kinds of stuff.
A few nights ago he starts panting, dry heaving, looking uncomfortable. Yep, bloat. Since then we've had emergency surgery to fix the bloat, then a gastroplexy to staple the tummy down to prevent it happening again, then while we are in oops remove the spleen. Then he got a post surgery infection.
So $2,700 for the 1st surgery, Another $4,500 for the 2nd round. $1,400 for the emergency infection. And now he's back in today for another who $1,000+ followup ultrasound to see if it was the surgery that got infected or just a routine bladder thing.
Do you have an extra $10,000 just sitting there handy to spend on your sweet old dog? I got Healthy Paws when the economy tanked and I lost my job because I didn't want to have to make a scary decision. I researched the heck out of insurance. Now I'll never have a pet without them.
The other thing I like is they are actually human - none of that faux customer service with canned responses. You actually get people sending you real emails. It's nice.
Once I hadn't cashed the checks and they reached out to me to find out why and reissued them. How cool is that?
I tell every pet owner I know. Even my vet now tells everyone because they've seen the other insurances deny so many things.
The website is well designed too.
