Best Pet Insurance Available!!

Healthy Paws is hands-down the best pet insurance company available. We have two dogs, a Rhodesian Ridgeback and a Great Dane and did a lot of research prior to ultimately going with Healthy Paws. We couldn't be happier about our choice. Our Ridgeback, Kobe, has suffered from several puppy illnesses this first year and everyone of them has been covered. We only have to take a picture of the itemized invoice from our vet on our cell phone, email it in, and within a few days, we have a reimbursement check with no questions asked, and no claim forms required. Healthy Paws even emailed to check to see if Kobe was feeling better! This summer, when we got our Great Dane puppy, Nelson, we noticed pet insurance premiums for Danes are higher, so we found a different pet insurance company that was slightly cheaper, by about $10 per month. This company required a pre-authorization form first from our vet and claim forms signed by our vet, and had a very negative tone in every email and correspondence about the consequences of lying on claims. We felt like we were being accused when we hadn't even filed a claim with them!! We have NEVER experienced anything like this with Healthy Paws. We originally thought it would be worth the small monthly savings. We immediately regretted our decision. Within 10 days, we were cancelling this policy and switching Nelson to Healthy Paws as well. We had so much more peace of mind knowing both of our dogs were insured with this company. Healthy Paws has the best coverage, customer service, and ease of use of any of the policies that we investigated and we looked extensively! Healthy Paws is most certainly the company of choice!

Healthy Paws made a horrific experience easier.

Healthy Paws made a horrific experience easier. My 9 month Maltipoo, 4 lbs. ,Gigi, broke her leg. She had to see an Orthopedic Surgeon and have surgery which required a metal plate and screws. Gigi is still recuperating. The bills, so far, are in excess of $6,000. Healthy Paws followed up and processed the expenses, within three days, and are paying 90% of the costs. I will not have the financial burden of those pet owners that have no pet insurance. I definitely recommend Healthy Paws for all pet owners. Accidents happen. This insurance will give you some piece of mind. Healthy Paws Customer Care Team has been checking up on Gigi's recovery. They have been wonderful.

Thank you thank you!

My dog Jackson got an aggressive growth in this thigh. It almost appeared over night. After several biopsys and surgeries to remove what we discovered was a cancerous tumor we had to make the tough decision to amputate his leg. Thanks to Healthy paws I was able to afford all the care and medical treatment he needed in this process. It was quick and easy to file claims and I received compensation usually within a week after filing. I am very happy and greatful to be a Healthy Paws family member. The staff kept in contact with us and genuinely cared about us and our progress and his health. Healthy paws made it so we could focus on his health and recovery instead of worrying how we were going to afford everything. Jackson is now a happy and healthier three legged dog and we thank you Healthy Paws!

Absolutely Amazing and Very Highly Recommended

I have been insured with Healthy Paws since March 2015. Recently, my 7 month old puppy was diagnosed with a genetic shoulder joint problem in both shoulders. The total cost for the two appointments, including surgery was just shy of $4000. For both of my visits, the same day that I processed my online claim form, my claim was completed. There were no hassles, they paid for all costs that were agreed to in my contract, and even after the claim was completed, they have remained in contact with me showing concern for my puppy. This company and its staff are absolutely top notch and fabulous. With the devastating news that my puppy needed expensive bi-lateral shoulder surgery, Healthy Paws Pet Insurance took the financial worry completely away. I would recommend this to all my friends, and have done so, continuously. Thank you Healthy Paws for taking care of my little guy.

Healthy Paws has the most comprehensive coverage!

I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with countless members of the Healthy Paws team. Upon the adoption of my lab-mix puppy, Titan, I thoroughly researched every pet insurance option available, calling and emailing multiple customer service reps from multiple companies to ensure I had an apples-to apples-comparison. Healthy Paws won us as a customer, and I've never been happier. We submitted our first claim (Titan had worms...), and everything was covered outside of the exam fee! While it did take a bit longer to process, it was our first claim, and we submitted about 11 documents to Healthy Paws from his initial visit, his visit for boosters/vaccines, and his neutering surgery, among a few other pieces of paperwork. I knew this claim would not reach our deductible, but wanted to get all of our information in the system for if he has a larger claim that will require reimbursement. I cannot stress how amazing their coverage is. I'm writing this review not because I was reimbursed for a large claim (thankfully!), but because I have the confidence and peace of mind that if that day comes, Healthy Paws will be there. They truly have the most comprehensive and thorough coverage. They have an annual deductible which is the most cost-effective, they pay off the actual vet bill (unlike VPI), have no maximum payout limits (unlike Embrace and PetPlan), have no transaction fees (unlike PetPlan), cover Rx and OTC if prescribed (on a case-by-case basis), cover breed-specific and hereditary/congenital conditions, cover specialists, mobility aids, acupuncture/chiropractic treatments as prescribed by a vet, and cover dental extractions/reconstructions if due to an accident. They do not have any "Wellness Plan" add on, but for the price of their premiums you can afford to purchase a plan through your own vet (such as Banfield) if you desire. If you are considering purchasing insurance for your dog, I urge you to reach out to a Healthy Paws customer service rep, and you'll be sold. Enroll your pup early, and you'll be set!
