My small dog recently injured herself, and that injury required multiple veterinary services, including an expensive TPLO surgery. I submitted a claim for each invoice, and each claim was settled within days. Each claim had an explanation of benefits which clearly explained what was covered, what was not, what how much went toward my deductible. There were no surprises, and I was reimbursed the amounts I was expecting.

Healthy Paws has been a fantastic pet insurance company! The company makes it so easy to submit claims - and getting reimbursed happens very quickly - usually only 1-2 days. I love seeing the reimbursement show up automatically in my bank account. I highly recommend Healthy Paws!

At a loss as to what to do.
i've been a police holder for over 4 years and during that time have made only one small claim. Now I have
a significant claim and after 2 months still not settled.
I keep getting more requests for medical records. There aren't any . My dog is 6 1/2 and was last sick at 2 years old. The last follow up phone call I was promised 10 days ago never happened. At a loss as to what to do.
I've been a customer of Healthy Paws Pet Insurance & Foundation for over five years for my growing family of animals. During that time, I'd (fortunately) never encountered any situation where the support of Healthy Paws was needed.
A few weeks ago, one of my cats became very ill, very quickly, and upon arriving at the emergency veterinarian, I learned that he needed surgery to treat an intestinal blockage caused by the sudden onset of a condition called intussusception. After two surgeries and five days in the ICU, I was blessed to get my little guy back home, safe and sound, and he is currently fantastic and back to normal, making a full recovery.
I was prepared to spend whatever money necessary out of my own pocket to ensure that my little guy received the best care he possibly could, not knowing whether Healthy Paws would honor the claims I would submit. This thinking was influenced by stories I've read about other pet insurance carriers, as well as personal experiences with human health insurance carriers.
I ended up spending north of $15k on his care, which I would do again in a heartbeat. Healthy Paws honored ALL of my claims, reimbursed the maximum to which I was entitled under my particular coverage, and did this within a few days of my submission of these claims. The direct deposits cleared within 24 hours of the claims being processed. Each claim was incredibly clear about what would, and would not, be reimbursed, and there were no surprises whatsoever. When speaking on the phone with Healthy Paws representatives to answer questions I had, the team was incredibly kind, compassionate, responsive, and helpful.
I am so thankful for the support of the team at Healthy Paws Pet Insurance & Foundation during this time and the peace of mind they've given me, and the support they've provided to ensure that my animals can receive the best care possible when it is needed. I will be a customer for life.

Coverage
One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more.
You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.
Deductible
You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750*
*Choice depends on age of the pet
Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
