Bo is our first ever dog (or pet for that reason). I was recommended to carry an insurance on a puppy. Not knowing what to expect, and usually not being a fond of insurance companies in general, I was hesitant. I made some research, and Healthy Paws looked a lot more sincere. I decided to purchase and wait and see for one year if I will ever need to use the insurance. Sure enough Bo had a major surgery at 9 months and second at 23 months. Healthy Paws covered everything in the agreement, with no questions, and followed up on Bo asking how he was doing. The claims were processed within 2-3 days. Online submission of the receipts is very convenient. i have been recommending Healthy paws to anyone I meet now. It is a great company, with great service and they really love animals!

Very best pet insurance in the entire United States
I was very hesitant to purchase pet insurance although I had had a number of dogs with costly illnesses. After my last Jack Russell died and I had incurred over $20,000 in bills, I changed my mind. After doing careful research, I secured Healthy Paws 90% plan. The price was very reasonable, they did not cancel you for chronic diseases and they didn't raise your premium after you had incurred costly claims. I cost them nothing for one year. However, the last three years, having a fairly "healthy" Jack Russell, Annie still experienced a lot of very expensive conditions to pay for - over $10,000. Allergic conditions requiring the only dog allergist in Northern Virginia and cutting edge treatments. A benign tumor that cost $3,000 to diagnose at a dog cancer center and $2,500 to excise and other assorted and miscellaneous conditions. Healthy Paws certainly lost money on us. Nevertheless, they always paid our claims within 4 days, sent us condolence notes in email, when Annie was going through a particularly difficult illness and never failed to send her birthday and holiday cards. They also give a portion of her monthly insurance fee to dog charities.
I can't tell you how much I love them and how lucky I was to find them.
I had compared many plans and others would not pay for chronic conditions and no one was willing to cover 90%. I tell everyone, you should joint too.
Four years, ago when my other Jack Russell died, I seriously considered pet insurance for the very first time. I had always thought it too expensive. For my other dog, who was 11 yrs. old, I had incurred $21,000 in expenses. So I enrolled Annie at the age of 7 in the 90% covered plan. I had researched it so carefully. For the first year, nothing. Since then $1,000's - probably $10,000. Annie a relatively healthy dog, got serious allergic problems to everything - costing $4,000 in dog dermatologist bills, cutting edge meds, etc. Recently, potential cancer that turned out to be a benign tumor (that could have killed her if left untreated) - $5,500 and many other lesser conditions. Healthy Paws always sent me the reimbursement within days, they sent personal letters inquiring about Annie's health and never fail to send birthday and other holiday cards to her. They never terminate her insurance due to her significantly high expenses, nor raise the price of insurance. Obviously, we have gotten significantly more than we have paid. As a medical professional, I seek the best medical care for my dog and that costs - Healthy Paws never hesitates to pay. I love Healthy Paws!

Healthy Paws is the best insurance for my dogs!
When selecting my pet insurance, I had researched all of the pet insurance companies. I am so happy to have chosen the best pet insurance for my dogs! It takes a lot of the stress away from making any decisions for sick dogs. My wheatie has gone through a lot in the past couple of years and Healthy Paws has never given me a problem. My wheaten was very sick for a couple months in 2014, he would vomit after every meal. He would then get better for a few days and start to vomit again. He had lost almost 6 lbs, but after being diagnosed my vet and I tried an elimination diet. It's been a year and he has gained all his weight back and happy as ever!
Recently, he had a cyst (he had it since he was a year old) on his tail became infected. He had surgery to remove the cyst.
I have been with healthy paws for 4 years! Big or small, Healthy Paws has been there!

Peace of mind
I can't tell you what a relief it is to have Healthy Paws as my insurance for my two active dogs. When they are sick or have an injury, I never need to worry about not being able to provide them the care they need because I know I have Healthy Paws to support me.
Healthy Paws covers my claims with speed and follows up via email to see how my dogs are after they see they've been ill. It is super easy to process claims and the check arrives at my house before my credit card bill is due.
I sing their praises and wish they covered humans!
