BEST INSURANCE AND BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE

I don't often write "fan" letters, especially for insurance companies:). However, Healthy Paws is terrific! I got way behind filing claims due to a rough year with my husband's serious illness. Healthy Paws not only processed everything I sent in late (with no hassle), I even got kind notes hoping everything was going better for us. Healthy Paws covers our rescue Golden Retriever, Brady, who had a rough beginning before coming to us and we've had to deal with some health issues that developed after we got him. When we rescued him two years ago, we went with another insurance company who hassled us about everything! It was a ridiculous nightmare. We cancelled and switched to Healthy Paws. Best decision we could have made. We even convinced our son to use Healthy Paws when he got his new pup. All of our dogs have been rescues and that can mean issues but we're confident we now have the best protection and customer service we can get with Healthy Paws. We would highly recommend them; in fact, we already have recommended them to our friends and family.

Best Pet Insurance Ever

In June, my husband and I purchased a Healthy Paws policy for our boxer puppy, Emma. We purchased the policy early, but thinking that we really wouldn't use it much until Emma's later years. However, early on, Emma had a variety of medical issues. First, it was two instances of kennel cough. Later, something much worse came about. To make a very long story short, Emma had a very rare, adverse reaction to her microchip. Shortly after the chip was implanted on July 21, Emma developed a lump where the chip was. At first, our original vet told us that fat sometimes forms around the chip. We were told to ignore this lump and were told that our dog was healthy. However, a few weeks later, this small bump quickly grew to the size of a tennis ball. We went back to our vet, and were told that he would "explore" the problem during her spay. I didn't like the idea of simply "exploring" the lump in a surgical manner without even aspirating it first, so I listened to my gut and took Emma first to an emergency vet clinic, and then upon their advice to a new veterinarian. This new vet immediately aspirated the lump and found the fluid inside to be something he had never seen before. Emma went into surgery the next week and had a large cyst and the microchip removed. She was sent home two days later with drains to get rid of any excess fluid. However, that was not the end of Emma's problems. As soon as the drains closed up, the cyst formed again (even though there was no longer a microchip), this time to the size of a grapefruit; that is no exaggeration. The new vet recommended that we see a specialist. The specialist operated on Emma shortly after and not only removed the cyst, but also the "pouch" it was growing out of and much of the surrounding tissue. It was quite an extensive surgery. Currently, Emma is on the mend and the specialist is confident that the cyst will not come back, and we are taking many precautions to ensure that it does not and that Emma has a smooth recovery. My husband and I are cautiously optimistic that this is the end of this issue. From Emma's two surgeries and one trip to the emergency vet, we have filed multiple claims to Healthy Paws for this cyst/microchip issue. I cannot thank Healthy Paws enough for handling each claim in a timely and fair manner. The company should be applauded for its sense of compassion and professionalism. This ordeal with Emma has been emotionally draining, but thanks to Health

Worth every dollar

I have had pet insurance since 2003 (different carriers). Hands down some of the best customer service, fast response, and extremely quick reimbursement in the business. I wish my own medical and dental insurance was so good. Literally snap a photo of a claim to submit through their app and (at most) 4-5 days later a response or even the check itself. They cover the level and items as discussed in the policy. No round around or delay. My dog had a medical emergency 2 weeks ago that really tested the policy. Less then 7 days after submitting the claim the check arrived. I would not hesitate to insure a pet through Healthy Paws. All 3 of my dogs have policies with them.
