Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

My pomeranian was recently diagnosed with chronic/acute kidney failure. Medical costs were sky high in the thousands, and I'm really glad to have my dog insured by Healthy Paws! The claims process was also easy and straightforward. Having a sick dog is hard, and Healthy Paws make it possible to worry less about the medical bills and give my dog the best treatment possible.

I would recommend Healthy Paws to any pet parent. They handle the claim almost overnight and always pays for the claim. My dog had to do an emergency endoscopy due to a bone stuck in her esophagus and I didn't have to worried about the cost to save my dog.

My most valuable asset are my pets, and when a friend told me about Healthy Paws when we rescued our first dog 4 years ago it was clear that I wanted health insurance for my pit bull girl Josie. Healthy Paws has turned out to be a life saver and a total blessing for me. Two ACL tears and two elbow dysplasia surgeries my poor Josie had to endure in the last 4 years which I could have never afforded on my own. If it wasn't for healthy paws insurance I would never have been able to afford such a huge vet bill. Because I opted for the 90% coverage, I wound up paying a very small amount. Almost 4 years ago we rescued our pit bull girl Josie from a local shelter, she had been thrown from a car at barely 2.5 months old. We've never had a dog before, only cats (were insured with a different company that totally disappointed!). A friend of mine has her boxer insured with Healthy Paws and said if I wanted to insure Josie, insure her with Healthy Paws, they rock. So I did.Nobody insures their pet in hopes to ever have to use the insurance but Josie tore her first ACL at only 6 months old. She had to wait until fully grown to have TPLO surgery and Healthy Paws was absolutely amazing when it came to dealing with our claim. They really care about the animal, ask for their well being, follow up after surgeries, they process claims quickly and keep you informed about it at all times, too. They have several, all easy, straight forward and convenient ways to submit paperwork for claims and do not make you jump through hoops to get reimbursed. Nor do they question your vet bill and deduct or straight out decline reimbursement altogether without good reason like my other insurance did. Josie had to have several surgeries since and Healthy Paws hasn't dropped us, or be mean to us. A few months ago I rescued another puppy and of course immediately insured her with Healthy Paws as well. I feel very safe with my dogs having Healthy Paws insurance and I have been telling a lot of people about it already. You don't know if or when your pet will get ill or injured. Hopefully it won't happen but just in case and peace of mind - get Healthy Paws pet insurance!
