Excellent

Healthy Paws has been so wonderful. At first we weren't sure if we should get our lab doggy insurance or not because we weren't sure if we would need it. Boy were we wrong!!! Shortly after signing up our doggy got so sick! Healthy Paws was there every step of the way. It is so nice knowing that we can get our girl the best care and we don't have to worry about it breaking the bank. Healthy Paws has even reached out to us asking how she is doing! What other doggy ins. would take the time to check on your dog?! It touched our hearts that they truly care. We couldn't of asked for a better company to have our back when it comes to our doggies well-being!!!!

Healthy Paws is the Best Pet Insurance Company!

Healthy Paws is the best insurance company I have ever worked with. Our recently adopted dog was on the plan for a couple of months and he suddenly started having difficulty breathing and was close to death. We brought him to our local animal hospital where they discovered he had an enlarged heart and defective tricuspid valve. He was in the hospital overnight after they drained fluid from his lungs and started him on medicines. The bill for the hospital and medications came to over $4,500. Healthy Paws covered us for 90% of this less our $500 deductible and the charge for an office visit as we expected. Taking out the insurance through them was a great decision because I was thinking about self-insuring as we used a different company for our last dog that was completely healthy until he was about 13 years old. That insurance company practically paid nothing for his arthritis treatments and the well care payments did not amount to much. I was a little worried that Healthy Paws might not pay us after putting about $4,500 on my credit card based on my experience with the old insurance company- but fortunately this was not the case. Just be sure to have your medical records/ history on you pet to send to the company.I considered Trupanion for our new dog's insurance but did not like the fact that there was a $500 deductible for each different type of incidence. With Healthy Paws I know that I will by the $500 once and then they start the 90% coverage for the year regardless of what conditions/diagnosis comes up. The claims process with Healthy Paws could not be any easier with their mobile app. Snap a picture of the invoice and send it off with out any claim form. I highly recommend anyone looking for pet insurance to contact Healthy Paws.

Great Company - Great Service - Great Provider

When we adopted our pup from the local shelter we felt the need to look into pet insurance. We tried a free 30 day policy from another provider and were going to stay with them as we received a discount offer from them by email. Turns out they would not honor that offer and we started to search out other providers. That was the best thing for us as we ended up with Heathypaws. Better coverage for less monthly payments. Our beloved pup has more problems than we could have ever anticipated, with eye surgery just last week at $1400.00 and Heathypaws covered 90% for us. Quick claim turn around within days (1-2). Great Company - Great Service - Great Provider

Best decision you'll ever make!

This is a long review but I think you'll find some details that will help you make a well-informed decision about why you should choose Healthy Paws. Since the day we joined, we have been absolutely thrilled to be Healthy Paws customers! I have been in the customer service business a long time, long enough to know when I'm getting lip service customer service and when I'm getting customer service from a company that truly values its customers, and Healthy Paws is a truly human company. They have caring, thoughtful staff that do an outstanding job with customer service, and really with every aspect of their business. So let's start with the basics of why you'd want to become a customer - coverage. You have many options for coverage - different deductible and co-pay options, so you'll be able to find something that fits your budget and your insurance needs. Now let's move on to the coverage of illness/injury - you're simply not going to do any better with another pet insurance company. Healthy Paws covers way more than other companies do, and don't quote me on this one, but I'm pretty sure they even cover at least some holistic treatments. Then what about pre-existing conditions? Sure there may be just one or two, but that's it, and I find them far more than reasonable limitations. I don't even consider them really limitations at all, they are just no-brainers. So coverage is just terrific. And please, don't gripe "they don't cover routine healthcare items." Okay, they don't, and I don't expect them to. That's not why you're buying pet insurance. You're buying it to offset pet care expenses, and sooner or later you're going to have an injury or illness and you're going to face that question, how much is this going to cost me? As much as you love your pets, like we do, you're going to think about money. Well, let's simply remove that burden by having you become a Healthy Paws customer, and rest easy that you've got coverage you can count on. Nothing to worry about anymore. Now, claims handling. This is where many insurance companies stumble, both pet and human insurance companies. Nobody, I mean nobody, handles claims more efficiently or more pleasantly than Healthy Paws. They excel in this area. First of all, you can upload documents to their website to submit a claim. Or, if you prefer, you can download a form that pre-populates some of your specific pet information to make that a little easier. But just submit it online. If

Efficient and Caring

I have just had to make my first claim with Healthy Paws, having bought insurance for my cat 5 years ago. I didn't know what to expect, but the service has exceeded my expectations by far. My cat was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, and my vet recommended a radioactive iodine injection which is very expensive, but I felt was the best option. My vet's office faxed my cat's records on the day she went for her treatment, and all I had to do was scan and upload the itemized bill when she came home. Within a few days I got a personal email confirming that my claim had been approved for the full amount (minus deductible). I was amazed how easy this was, and how friendly the email had been as they also wanted me to let them know how my cat was. Two days later I got another follow up email, again just inquiring my cat was doing (happily she's just fine). Having wondered whether I might have to gear up to fight for my claim, I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. It could not have been an easier and I really appreciated the personal experience. I'm happy to recommend Healthy Paws to anyone who is considering pet insurance.
