Access to Care Essential for Confidence

I tell everyone how fortunate I am to have healthy paws and how responsive your efforts on our behalf have been.  Having this policy has been paramount to me coping with such a prolonged and worrisome challenge.  I am truly grateful!

A better experience than we could have imagined!

After paying out-of-pocket for knee surgery on a 1-year-old cat, my wife and I determined it would be a good idea to get pet insurance for our little guy. We talked with our vet and read reviews online, and the same 4-5 providers kept coming up. After scouring reviews and running some projected numbers, we decided to go with Healthy Paws. Flash forward about two years later, and Carl needs the same surgery on his *other* knee. Having never submitted any claims before, we were nervous about the process. We didn't know how quickly everything would be processed, how much would be excluded, and what the experience would be. I'm happy to say that we could not be more thrilled by our experience with Healthy Paws! Filing claims could not be easier, and they have been handled quickly (same day in many cases), communication has been clear and proactive, often with the same representatives (Heather and Tyson have been great!). Getting a personal note from Tim asking how Carl was doing really put the experience at a 10. We've never felt this good about an insurance company before, not even close! We have absolutely no reservations about strongly recommending Healthy Paws to anyone who is considering insurance for their pet.

Kind, Caring, Caring and Trustworthy

I have 2 dogs insured with healthy paws. One has unfortunately had health issues over the last 2 years. Healthy Paws has made it easier for us to deal with the burden of many surgeries. Not only are they kind and caring, they are efficient in handling the claims so you can get reimbursed in a timely fashion. We are very fortunate to have chosen H.P. for our insurance carrier.

Most amazing experience! Health Paws

We have never had pet insurance with any of our other dogs. This was a first at the insistence of our pet sitter. So thankful because Bella who is 1 1/2 years old had to have major leg surgery and the cost was appx 5,300.00! Far beyond what we could afford. Healthy paws made the experience easy and every time I called they were so very kind. Not only that but I literally took a picture of the vet invoice and 4 days later, with no questions asked, we had approval for a Healthy Paws payment of 90% of the bill. Thankful just does not seem like a strong enough word!

Murphy

I signed up with Healthy Paws insurance for my dog Murphy, in 2013, when he was a pup. It was my first time buying pet insurance, so I read the reviews, found Healthy Paws was rated highly, so I signed up (80% reimbursement/$250 annual deductible). About 5 months later, Murphy developed a benign growth on his face and I had it removed and submitted the claim to Healthy Paws for payment. Easy! The claim was paid w/no problem. Then, last week (8/16), Murphy went in for a bi-lateral TPLO (major surgery on both back legs). The bill was going to come to around $6,400. I called Healthy Paws to see if pre-authorization was required. I was told no, just email them the invoice and claim form. The claim was processed within 24 hours and the check is on the way. (They even sent an email, asking how Murphy was doing!) Any dealings I've had with Healthy Paws has been professional and caring. With the high cost of vet care, it's a good idea to have pet insurance, and I strongly recommend Healthy Paws based on my experience with them!
