Healthy Paws, the Best!
I'm always a bit cynical about insurance companies and their coverage, but I could fill a page with accolades for Healthy Paws.We took our cat Aspen to our vet because he was having a problem urinating, he was diagnosed with bladder stones which required surgery, ended up being two surgeries because some of the stones were attached to his bladder. We filed two claims, one for the original diagnosis and one for the two surgeries and two night stay at the vets. Both of these claims totaled $7164.68 and Healthy Paws covered $6911.07 of this and paid 90%, for a total of $6219.96 and received the first check in about a week, did automatic deposit to my checking account for the second payment and had it in about three days. I wasn't even expecting half of this. Also, Healthy Paws has contacted me at least twice checking on how Aspen is doing. I know nothing about other pet insurance companies, but I do know about Healthy Paws and I can't imagine that there is anyone better, if as good. Thank you Healthy Paws!

As per the policy we do require medical records for all enrolled pets in order to process claims. At minimum we require the notes from the enrollment exam as outlined in your policy. When you enrolled online and prior to completing the enrollment process, you were asked and checked off a box noting that an examination was performed within a specific time frame based on the age of the pet you were enrolling. When an enrollment examination is not performed prior to enrollment or during the waiting period, this will affect the last day of the waiting period. Not having an enrollment exam may result in the denial of claims related to any signs and symptoms that are present at the time of the exam. Claims denied for pets due to a lack of an enrollment exam are denied under the policy's waiting period exclusion, which is currently the case for your pet. If your baby has *any* prior vet visits to the one noted in our customer care team’s email to you, let us know.
